Well I took my dad shooting today and he fell in love with my WLA sterling. Yesterday when I was at a local shop I noticed that they had 5 of the type 2 cia builds, so this evening I went and picked him up one for xmas. I have heard Wise lite is pretty much done for, not sure if it's true or not. The new one is marked as a masterpiece arms build. Any one shoot a MPA built one yet? My WLA built gun has been flawless for a couple thousand rounds, and hope for the same from this one. I have 2 MPA "MACS" that run great and hope for the same from the sterling. It looks like a good build and is totally strait.

MPA probably just started, the serial # is a bunch of zero's with a single digit on the end. All the internals look like the guts of my wla gun.

All the welds look great. If you are speaking of the tube itself, I cant see any evidence of welding at all, inside or out. The WLA one I have you can see the welds on the tube if you are looking for them. This one is done much better and is basically invisible.

turningfast,

Thanks for posting those pictures. Any chance you could post some of the barrel and the barrel nut out of the receiver?

I will see if I can get it off without jacking it up (don't want to mark it up since it's a gift). It does not use a racheting type lock like the WLA regular sterling that comes off easy, just threaded with no lock. It's on there tight. I will bring home tools and give it a whirl. I will say that the barrel is a heavier profile than the regular barrel though.

It was upper 4's on the price. It shot low just like my WLA gun. Just had to crank the front sight down some to get it in check

but is it zero'd with the big aperture? I thought most WLA guns mine included could only be zero'd with the small aperature, maybe its the 200 yard peep?
