I respect your opinion but here are my 2 cents.Registered bolt in my opinion is the best, reason being, you can have 1 bolt and 3 hosts. My bolts that I modify from registered full size bolts work in all 3 host guns, mini micro and full size. I just sold one, I will have 3 more available soon if anyone is looking
How are you configuring this so the bolt extensions ("feet") work in a semi-auto Mini UZI host gun and in an UZI Pistol? My bolts that I modify from registered full size bolts work in all 3 host guns, mini micro and full size. I just sold one, I will have 3 more available soon if anyone is looking
Thats a detail I’d rather not share, But they work with unmodified semi trunnions in mini uzi and uzi pistol and run in unmodified full size semis as wellHow are you configuring this so the bolt extensions ("feet") work in a semi-auto Mini UZI host gun and in an UZI Pistol?
Comes down to personal preference. I like the uzi with super fast ROF, and the ability to have 3 hosts. I see all your points as wellI respect your opinion but here are my 2 cents.
Registered bolt is definitely better than nothing but I would rarely shoot my Mini if it was a LW registered bolt. Shoots too fast for my tastes. BarrelXchange's heavy bolt makes it perfect.
Likewise a registered bolt like you have done may be the jack of all trades but also too fast for my tastes as well in a full size. Micro was never made as open bolt from the factory so I preferred to run mine as a closed bolt.
Also, I have a friend with a registered sear UZI that had a double charge that blew the breach of his bolt face apart. Sear and receiver was fine. I guess bolt could be repaired but he just threw it out.
People stress out too much over these details. Any option setup will outlast your lifetime. Just find something decent and go with it.
Hard to sell them without an explanation. Looking at the width of the feet in the photo, it appears that they won't work.Thats a detail I’d rather not share, But they work with unmodified semi trunnions in mini uzi and uzi pistol and run in unmodified full size semis as well
They do work, I just meant I wasn’t going to share the details of my dimensions. I have videos of them running in all 3 hosts, and I’ve already sold one. Yup. I make mine differentlyRe: reg open bolt for full/mini/micro
Ones I’ve seen either had no feet or feet had been massively thinned to pass by unmodddified trunions

Exactly. The ones without feet are a hassle to operate, and I'd worry about the ones with super thin feet. The feet on the bolt pictured in this thread are too thick to fit in an unmodified semi-auto Mini or Pistol. Something seems fishy.Re: reg open bolt for full/mini/micro

What does the little silver block with the AKarms logo do? Is it tungsten or something like that to add weight?Imi is the way to go. Group/vector I have found a lot of trunnions welded out of whack. Anything can be fixed though, and any conversion can be brought to smg spec. Rr is more pricey and you can have caliber conversions. Even tho 45 beats the hell out of the backplate and can crack it. If you run it in a Mini UZI, you need the block in place to correctly engage the cocking piece on the top cover. If you run it in a Micro, you need to take it out to correctly engage the Micro top cover. What does the little silver block with the AKarms logo do? There’s nothing fishy about it. I make them to different dimensions. They are legit registered bolts that work in 3 hosts. Charging block. Removable to run with the micro top cover. Put in place to run with a mini top coverWhat does the little silver block with the AKarms logo do? Is it tungsten or something like that to add weight?
I know this has been discussed before, but my picture below is how I approach this.Charging block. Removable to run with the micro top cover. Put in place to run with a mini top cover
