I just put a new KRISS .45 acp carbine by TDI on layaway. I HATE the Long ugly barrel/flash hidercover. I just sent a Form 1 into ATF today on my Living Trust so that I can SBR it. I saw an ad on Sturmgewhr for a gunsmith that will shorten it for $200- shipped. Anyone remember the ad? its gone now. TDI wants a lot to SBR it.

Azex arms may have been the on with the ad. He has done at least one SBR conversion for a guy here in AZ.

Yeah, Azex was doing them until TDI harrassed him because they didn't like anyone messing with their guns.

there was talk of needing a heavy barrel for the threads to be cut into.
Imho buying anything else besides a kriss is a good choice.

KRISS

I just recieved an e-mail from Azex and they were offering the SBR service, until TDI sent them a nasty e-mail basically threatening them. TDI wants $400- to do the job and Azex was charging $200. TDI gave a BS explanation about barrel threads and all. Very similiar to FN and there BS about chrome lining being messed up if you cut the barrel. GREED knows no bounds.

Not that I wanted one in the first place but now I will not buy one for sure. I hate companies like this and will NOT spend my money there.

If they have to replace barrels just to have them threaded why dont they use them on all guns now? I could see a first run having issues, finding the problem and fixing it. But to know the problem and then have the customer have to spend more to fix the problem is just crazy :taser

Good thing in the history of guns no one ever "messed" with a design that was already out. Who knows how far back in history we would be in so many fields. I have yet to see anyone get everything "right" the first time.

this thing might be awesome but it just hasn't grown on me yet. Reminds me of a nailgun at lowe's. Are these actually in service somewhere?

The KRISS is as revolutionary to carbines & SBR's as the Glock was to pistols.
