I’m totally new here and like I’ve read from many others getting into machine guns, I’ve started with the M11/9.
I’m interested in seeing what everyone prefers to run for an optic on their grey ghost upper. I assume Aimpoint micro on a Lage upper but an RMR or similar style red dot seems like it might fit better on the grey ghost upper.

I’m looking to combine it with the folding micro Uzi stock.

Would appreciate any experience and/or opinions here.

Thanks

I use a Burris FastFire 3... good function and seems to be well-sized for the application.

I use a Trijicon RMR on a Larue mount on my Fat Ghost upper. I really like the small size of it and I think they pair well together.

Been a fan of Holosuns for a while now. The circle dot is just like using an EOTech without all the bulk. They pair well with the Practical Solutions folder:

Ive been happy with the Sig Romeo 5 optics for something cheap and small. Ive started putting them on my AKs. If you prefer a holosight but dont want to pay EOTech money look into the Vortex UH1. I dont have many rounds on mine but I really like it.

Edit: seems like the UH-1 is currently around $400. I dont remember paying nearly that much. Maybe it was on sale or something.

I asked what red dot everyone liked a couple weeks ago.
I ended up going with a Primary Arms SLX I already had and it's held up good for about 1k rounds so far.

Fulautotank do you put the RMR on any sort of riser or qd mount? I think the RMR could fit well here. Also considering fastfire 3 so thanks the suggestions.

I have experience with all of the above mentioned optics but I’m less inclined to buy a chinese optic these days since they’ve already been so generous with viral gifts. I will agree the Holosun is high value and has a very crisp reticle. RMR and Similar red dots at top of list.

...RMR...fastfire 3...

The Vortex Venom is about as tall as those but has a wider FOV and supposedly a great warranted. I've never used one, but I think the wider window might be nice. It's made in the Philippines.

I used to buy American whenever I could, but it's honestly to no avail. In some cases, all you do is cost yourself. The entire capitalist, financial and political class does not hesitate to sell us out. You aren't going to make a difference.

Hopefully you will remember this post when your job is sourced outside of the US. I buy American made as much as I can. I pay more for those products, but I know that my money is going to Americans instead of improving the economy of other nations. The companies that are outsourcing products are certainly offering at lower prices. But if no one bought the foreign made products, then we would still have more manufacturing here. One sale doesn't make any difference, but if we all only bought American, then we would still have T.V.s still made here. So I will continue to support my neighbors and Americans with my money. That is my choice.

Philippines is fine although I’d prefer American or Swedish in the case of Aimpoint. And it’s not so much because I alone think I can make an immediate difference...although ultimately that is the goal. It’s for my own principles and peace of mind.

I hate to go (kind of) further off-topic, but I guess it was bound to go down that road a bit. It's not that I don't support the same cause y'all do, it's that I think there are better ways to go about it. Such as making economical choices and then using funds saved for direct political action on the most urgent issues. In the end, that's far more effective, but still not very. I do pay more for US goods (probably made by immigrants with imported parts) if the price is reasonably close, taking into consideration quality. All of these actions pale in comparison to having many children and raising them right, as a method to fix what's wrong. To each their own, I'll leave it at that. Cheers.

Yes I use the larue qd mount that brings it up to the same height as AR15 sights. That way you can co-witness if you have iron sights.
