Don't feel bad, I missed it as well. Still enjoyed to show and even met Vegas at the Lage display. If there is a dinner in 2018, I'd like to go.

And to stay on topic, I got to handle the MAX-11/15. I was on the fence about getting one, but after handling, I had to get my name on the list. I'm #574.

Richard, any idea on number manufactured per month when you get production rolling?

So I was looking over the Max11/ 15 and I think I pretty much figured out the only thing that I don't like about it and I think it's the magazine well length. I strongly feel that if it is at all possible, shortening the magwell would drastically improve visual appearance. Something similar to the Ares sporting rifle would be very clean IMO.

The shorter magwell would also ensure clearance for any beta mag etc. people would want to run. Just an idea.

I think it just looks weird because it’s not finished. When the whole thing is black it should look cleaner. On a side note, that mag release on the Ares gun looks like it could work nicely on the m11/15

As long as the mag well is not longer than a standard one I don't care.

That means all normal mags will fit.... Them I'm good to go.

The magwell position on the MAX-11/15 is limited by the length of the lower receiver. It is not physically or mechanically possible to move the magwell closer to the pistol grip or trigger guard.

The length top to bottom is the same as a mil-spec lower receiver. Every mag' has fit and functioned so far, including a Beta Mag and Surefire 60 and 100 mag's.

I think the current magwell length looks good (assault rifle-ish) and if it was chopped down it would look kinda puny/weird.

Would be nice to smooth/fillet the edges a bit more but otherwise pretty good.

The best looking Lage (to me) is the Max31k.... still holding out hope he makes one for the m11/9.

I agree that the finish will make a big difference in appearance. However, I would be curious to see what it would look like with a "tab" added between the magwell and trigger guard, similar to the Max-31. I think that is where the complaint in magwell length is originating from.

Richard, any idea of if or when a wait list will be started for the Max-11/15-IRM? I am on the list for the 11/15 (fairly low number too) but I'm obsessed with having all the variants.

I'm curious if this is the longest wait list for a Lage product. Glad I got in somewhat early.

I am glad I got the M11/9 because of the Many Lage products for it.
And now I can not wait for the Max-11/15 to be in production and I am glad I got in fairly early #360 (and looks to be in the around the 4th quarter of next year to get one from what I read above).
I will gladly drill a little hole in my M11/9 for a chance to have a Fun switch that shoots .223/556 but when my time comes to get the upper if a IRM system is perfected it will be a hard choice.
