I fired a 9mm MAC w/a Lage Upper on the 4th and now I am looking for one. This will not be my first stamp, only my first MG.

I do not know the difference between

MAC, Ingram, Cobrey, Powder Vally, RPB, SWD

I do know
M-10 is 45acp or 9mm
M-11 is 9mm Most popular
M-11 A1 in 380

I do not want 380.
I reload so 45 or 9 are g2g.

There seems to be a lot of talk about poor mags.

The 45 can take modded GG mags or a modded mag release and standard GG mag.

9mm can be either double feed or single feed, can be sten feed

What mags are availble and cheap-ish?

Thanks

As far as mags.
M 10 45 uses modified Grease gun mags, or un modifed mags with a modifed catch. as you know.

M 10 & M11 9mm. Depends on double feed, or single feed. Double feed uses expensive Walter mags, Cheap mags made by National will work with a little tweaking. Suomi mags can be modified to work.
Single feed uses Zytel, Modifed Pam-2 mags, sold by Recon Ordnance, US Machineguns, and others. Personally I use Madsen Mags that I modify.

9mm have also been converted to use Sten, and Uzi mags by changing the magwell.
I think I covered it, if not someone will.
By the way welcome to the site.

Cool place "the farm". I got to shoot there in May while on business in Georgia. The farm is located on MacLand Road in Powder Springs GA. Kind of neat seeing where my Gun was made.

The Uzi mag conversion is only available for the MAC-10 9mm. The Uzi magwell is too wide to fit the smaller M11/9 frame plus the double feed Uzi mags won't function in the single feed SWD M11/9.

Practical Solution Uzi mag conversion.

Humm, M-10/9 only? Or can I get a M-10/45 w/the Uzi conversion, then get a Lage 9mm double feed slowfire upper?

2nd the is the conversion reversible? Can I ready change it back to shoot 45?

Because that would be the best of both worlds.

The good news.....There are lots of good steel mags available for the M11/9.

The bad news......I own most of them! :tongue

The problem you'll run into is you can buy (50) 32rd 9mm Uzi mags for around $300.00 or (1) 16rd .45 Uzi mag for $150.00+

There is no need to reverse the UZI conversion as it will shoot 9mm and 45 and 22 through the same grip. The good news is that before we started making the 22 kits we were working on two versions of UZI 45 drums with dedicated UZI towers. These were 25 and 40 round drums but were plastic. We have found a nearly inexhaustable supply of Thompson 50 round drums and are picking up the project again. We will offer the 50 round drums for the 45 UZI guys, the UZI converted MAC guys and the M10/45 guys. By the way, these drums are NEW not old surplus and they don't have to be modified to fit 45 rounds as that is what they were designed to fit.

Was it at the Hernando MG shoot?

I ask because I let someone shoot mine there and I am looking for the video they took of it.

Personally, I would not convert the M-10 .45 with an Uzi magwell. You can insert an adapter inside the .45 magwell and use 9mm "MAC" mags. This allows you to use .45 M3 Greasegun mags for .45 instead of the more expensive lower capacity .45 Uzi mags. It is also less expensive than an Uzi conversion.

I set the video on low 320x240, not 2400x1300? whoops

So it is ok for internet uses.

But the message is clear, I had fun. :uzi

You can see I had a case of the giggles too.

Thanks for the trigger time again!!

I will IM the video when I get home..
