Its my understanding that its legal to convert a pistol into a carbine but not a carbine into a pistol. At no time can you have the stock and short barrel on simultaneously.

I'd agree - I handled one briefly and it didn't seem like much fun. If you do go for the Vector (no matter which one) I'd appreciate if you let Kelly know how you were linked to them (both me and this forum!)

Ok, I just ordered one from Kelly ENT. Carbine model with 3 32round mags for the $875 free shipping. I did mention this site, and Chuck asked about feedback from here. I said Vector's were overall spoke highly of, and that is what led me to them.
Anyway he said I will get one for sure but could be several weeks. It is still worth it at that price to me because I just saw one on gunbroker(I am not kidding) new Vector in the box with 1 mag sold for $1700. Well I just got home from FFL dealer and he sent everythig away, so now I wait. I have come a long way from wanting a Norinco lol.
