My buddy has a few pike arms barrels, the live rounds are sticking in the rifling on the OD of the bullet or the leading edge of the case the sharpie marks show rubbing on both areas.
The live round cannot be removed with the top cover handle without a rubber mallet tap.
Wondering if the barrels can be hand reamed?
His original imi barrel doesn't have this issue.

Update - bullets micrometer .355"

I got several thousand of the pulled Norma 158Gr 'Rival' bullets from American reloading and didn't have any issues but I also don't know what the COL is of the factory loaded Norma ammo is. Who knows why Norma pulled them. Powder issues? or maybe it was COL issues?
I have several Pike Arms barrels and they have been fine for me. Is it only the Norma bullets that are giving him problems? The Pike Arms barrels are not chrome lined so reaming them should be fine but I don't know if it is worth it if it is only happening on these Norma bullets.

Unless you have a giant stockpile of that round, I’d just use something different. If you’re determined to make it work, I don’t see why you couldn’t ream/throat it. However, the scuffing at the leading edge of the case is a bit concerning. I wonder if they are using .357-.358” revolver bullets, which might explain it. As you probably know, 158gr is a common load for .357 magnum and .38 special.

I’ve had same issues with pike barrels. Micro uzi threaded barrel. I had to polish the chamber. Finish coating was too thick. I notified pike of the issue they said they would be addressing it

Hey Akarms are you able to explain where/how you polished he has the stones and a lathe to do such things.

On lathe I just polished the chamber, using 80 grit paper, then 180, then red scotchbrite. Just went til the coating was gone and a little more til the rounds stopped sticking in the chamber

10-4 that should be achievable.
I'm not sure we're seeing a coating on his
The rounds plunk in just fine but if you press them down with medium force or just chambering a round they seat solid.

You’re saying they pass a plunk test but only stick when pressed in?

Probably just has a short throat in it or the coal is a little long for that bullet ogive. If it really bugs you just lengthen the throat a little
