Just to clarify, is mine 1 of about 1500 M16A2’s with the 20” heavy barrel? Also, I forgot to mention, it is the safe/semi/auto marked version and not the burst version, if that makes any difference. Thanks again.
Did it come with a bipod attached?

I have an A2 SSA HBAR with bipod.

I have three colt M16A2s (POUSG 20”/BURST, burst/14.5” IDF carbine, annd AUTO marked 20” and an SMG/DOE 7”. I have been following the prices weekly if not daily for 15+ years. I recently had mine appraised for an insurance policy.

You cannot compare carbines to commandos to regular A2, etc. The carbines and commandos demand a premium of several thousand dollars. Auto marked versus burst marked buys you about $1000 in real world trading.

There is one on Sturm right now that the guy has not been able to sell for over six months listed at 48,500. BURST marked 20” A2.

Ruben consistently gets 15-20% more than other dealers (as Matt noted), and private sellers have to knock off about 5-10% compared to the other dealers. You can look hopefully at Rubens prices, but they need serious adjustment to be relevant to you as a private seller

You could probably get $45,000 for your gun relatively quickly, upwards of 50,000 but you might be holding onto it for six months or more like the guy on sturm.
