I know the Eotech is fine for full auto weapons, but anyone have experience with Holosun on Full Auto? Looking to put on my Lage upper. Just concerned about the reticle impact. Thanks in advance for any input. Looking at:

I've become a Holosun fan. Shake-awake is great.
I tend to only by the same model (507 CX2) as I've learned that owning multiple different red dots that operate differently is not ideal.

In June I put a Holosun AEMS Red on my Lage Max-11. I have since run several thousand rounds through this configuration with no issues. It's a great optic.

Fastfire3 on mine.

Easy to see the dot. Dances/Vibrates when firing.

On this one I used a Sight-Mark Ultra Shot M-Spec.
It's basically a EoTech knockoff. It has held up very very well.
The downside is it takes one CR2 battery, which may not be easy to find if you are out in the middle of nowhere when it conks out. (Of course, I could just carry a spare battery, but I dont roll like that...because Im old)20240906_184501.jpg

Since stealing my Eotech off my M10 for my T7, I was looking for a new optic. Eotech has always been fine and I have several of them, including one on my 10/15 with a magnifier. But wanted something that was always on or at least could be left on a long time. I have gotten spoiled with my Trijicon RMR's. I ended up getting an Acro2 and like it. Having said that I have a few older Holosuns with the shake awake and really like those as well. I was quite shocked when I considered a new Holosun and saw the prices. I guess they have earned a good reputation though. I did just pay a lot for a Holsun LE420 for the T7 and really like it so I shouldn't be suprised I guess.

Sight Mark is nothing like an eotech copy. Sight Mark is a red dot, eotech is holographic. Only holosights on the market that I know of are the eotech and the vortex UH-1.

That said, sightmark seems to hold up fine and their CS seems to be good.

I run eotech 512 or SIG Romeo 5 on my Mac uppers.

Deerhurst is correct and I should correct my above post.
The SightMark Ultra Shot M-Spec is a red dot and NOT a holographic sight.
I was speaking from a shooters perspective and not from a technical perspective.
I own at least 8 EoTechs and have more than a passing familiarity with them.
From a shooters perspective, if they have used an EoTech 512.aa or similar they will be familiar with the different retical patterns that the SightMark offers. Both brands are ruggedly constructed and have similar shapes, although the SightMark body is a bit smaller. The SightMark also has the familiar quick-detach feature that has similar return to zero properties.
So, yes, the SightMark and EoTech may share some similar (but not the same) characteristics, but they are two different types of optics.
From a shooters perspective those differences may be irrelevent, but do need to be noted when discussing with other potential users/buyers.

I run an Aimpoint T2 with ADM CAS-V mount on my M11/9, perfect height with a Sig minimalist plus stock. Holosun makes decent optics, they’re getting a lot of use over in Ukraine, but they’re Chinese owned and built, personally I’m not a fan of giving them my money.

Thanks to Mr. Lage and some others the MAC is no longer just a phone booth gun.
It never was a phone booth gun if the shooter had any skill. Always thought that phone booth comment was a stupid saying. They don’t call the mini-uzi a phone booth gun.

This steel plate I knocked down has withstood 2 other smg hitting it at the same time. Yet my phone booth gun does it by itself.

A different shoot I do the same thing. The MAC family is accurate if you practice. Didn’t know they made phone booths that large.

Doughnut of death is the best reticle. Very very useful in many ways.

I've grown fond of the UH-1 reticle of the doughnut of death with a triangle at the bottom. Extremely quick for close in work and further away without worrying about height over bore and boring things like that.

It's a joke, not a technical classification.

This scene only added to the joke.

I have a Holosun 510c on my 9mm M16 upper and Holosun 507c x2s on my Uzi, Sterling, M2 Carbine, S&W 76, and MP5. I'm waiting on a MAC-10 that's at my dealer now and I've already got a Holosun 510c installed on the MAX-10/31K I have waiting for it.

Some of them are green reticles and some are red, but all of them have the big circle + dot (selectable) reticle. I really like Holosuns; they do great on MGs.

It's FA, sure, but it's not particularly harsh recoil. Nearly any modern optic, save for the absolute junk ebay-type stuff, will be A-OK
