The real cases have a "V" on the latch to indicate the front from the rear so you carry it the right way for fastest access.

After being contacted by the gentleman who sold me the case, it appears that the error here was mine. For some reason I had it in my head that this case was an original, but it may not have been not represented that way when I bought it. The listing is gone now, so I can't reread it and see where the error was. I don't know if I misread the listing, or if I simply got confused, but at this point I say "mea culpa". I have a ticket open with GunBroker to remove my auction, and I won't be re-listing it. Now that I have a clear understanding of what it is, I am going to enjoy it for myself. Sorry about the confusion around this, and apologies to the gentleman I bought it from. It has certainly been educational for me.
