You want to settle for a love tap, when you COULD bust the guy like a 223 softpoint does, that's on you. But pistol ammo is NOT all the same level of "feebleness

77 grs, 2300 fps (4" barrel) recoils like

230 grs, at 850 fps, (ie, .45 ACP) ball ammo. 135 grs, 1500 fps (4" barrel) recoil like Plus P .45 ACP ammo. A bit much in an alloy Commander, but ok if you hang a muzzlewt or it, or lug around a steel-framed gun. I dont think much of either one, actually. preferrring to make my own 3 segment prefrags, at 2300 fps.

WANTING the recoil and blast, and putting up with it, in return for really good performance, are 2 diff things. the 230 gr .45 is provably (on animals) a pathetically poor stopper. It's just had the benefit of 90 years of liars telling tall tales about it, that's all.

You act as though you have been blessed with the knowledge from God himself, and everyone else’s real life experience and knowledge is wrong if they care to disagree. You act as though you are talking to a bunch of soccer moms, when in fact you are talking to active military, ex-military, military families, people who have been around firearms all their life, and folks in the gun industry. You are taking threads which have been posted as a joke (such as the 9mm is for wussies and women thread), treating them seriously and trying to have a serious debate with nobody but yourself. You contradict yourself often, and your opinions come across demeaning, brash, and as though you are trying to cram it down someone's throat. It’s as though you are trying to create arguments where arguments aren’t warranted.

People are getting sick of it, and I say that because it's becoming noticeably evident from people’s responses to your posts. FYI, this is not a personal attack, this is the simple truth as I see it, and I am not trying to be demeaning, or state anything that hasn't obviously been displayed by your actions over the past week (if even that long).

Do you care to explain yourself, or are you just going to keep it up?

after you've shot a few hundred animals

with ccw loads, shot in scores of combat matches (many of them at the highest levels) smithed dozens of guns, carried for 12 years when and where it was a felony, and done numerous other things, been SHOWN how fos nearly all gun-men are, etc. you will have the same attitude I have about them. The .22 has "worked", many thousands of times. The ONLY man alive with enough real handgun combat experience to have a REAL LIFE point of view on it, Jim Cirillo, has come down on the same side of things as me. All the energy, destruction and velocity you can GET, from a carryable pistol. Just because you THINK you "know" something, does NOT make it so. If you'd care to BET, say, a year's pay on the results of shooting some animals, I stand ready to take you up on what you THINK that you know about stopping power.

effectiveness in a handgun. I have $5000 to your $500 that says I can prove you wrong, shooting 5 animals each, thru one lung, frontally, the way men get shot. U use .45 ball, My choice is a prefrag in 460 Rowland or 10mm. Winner to be determined by the average distance traveled after being shot. 5 animals each. Put your money where your mouth is.
