I'm located in Northeast Missouri. My closest public range is Mark Twain Lake. Unfortunately, they have a no automatic firearms policy, so shooting there is off the table. I do have some family land, and I can shoot there, but it's not ideal because of some nearby farmers. As the thread title says, does anyone know of ranges in Northeast to Mid-Missouri that allow automatics?

Second, it's it OK to post target photos? I shot some pretty good targets yesterday from about 20 yards, and I'd like to post them, but I don't want to break any site rules. Thanks everyone.

You can post target photos so long as it’s not pictures of politicians or other obvious things.

Wish I could help on the range locations maybe someone else will be able to.

I feel your pain. I’m in the greater Atlanta area, and the only nearby ranges I am aware of that allow MGs are indoor. I’d love an outdoor place to shoot some steel.

Same here in PA.
Indoor ranges or private land.
Public ranges have sign no machine guns.

I have a SOT friend in MO who is always sending me vids of his rocket launchers and stuff I can check with him.
I know he shoots somewhere since he lives in a hoa housing division.

I’m near you, unfortunately you missed out on a medium/large fall time MG shoot a month ago at Red Hill Range in Martin, Ga. Worth the little drive.

A spring shoot is in the works. Will PM when I get news of it. Lots to try out, new friends to meet. 🎯

He said he sold a bunch of stuff to a place in Arnold Missouri.
Thinks he remembers they were called top gun.
Near STL
Worth a search I would think.

All he has got for now.

I have been meaning to attend that but have had work conflicts the past two years. That’s great news about a potential spring shoot though. Please let me know if it comes to fruition. The only place I have ever seen it announced is ARF.com, and I don’t go there regularly enough to stay up to date.

Thanks. I've heard of it. It's about an hour south of me. I'll have to check it out.

Thanks for the replies. I'm pretty happy with this target. It was about 10 meters away. I realize that's not too far, but I'm happy because I don't see the MAC as a real target type firearm, and if I could stretch that type of accuracy out to 20 meters (therefore the need for a different range), I'd be really happy. It was the first time that I had shot it with the Lage upper, and it surprised me how easy it was to do short 4 or 5 round bursts versus shooting with the stock upper.

I got the gun as a retirement present for myself, so it's mostly an expensive play toy, but I'd like to get the most accuracy out of it that I can.

Arnold rifle and pistol club in jefferson county. But that would be a drive for you. Plus, you have to be a member to shoot there. I belong to that club and shoot there all the time.

top gun is not what it used to be. It used to be a really nice indoor range and gun store. From what i gather, got rid of their ffl license and are strictly a shooting range now. They don't seem to do much business now, and had to lease out part of their building to a gun smith shop. Honestly, I'm surprised they are even open anymore.

I've been to the Gadsden Shooting Center near Iberia a few times. I like their facility.

From what I gather from OP he is just looking for a range.
If he is looking for a SOT then he can hit up my buddy that lives there and still has a FFL/SOT.

In Northwestern MO we have a monthly match during the summer months.
If you could tell me where and when, I'd be willing to make the drive. I have relatives in the KC MO area, and it takes me about 3.5 hours to get there from Northeast MO.
