What are you folks using? Just buying the cheapest in bulk? Anything to avoid? What?

Going to take a new Vector semi out this weekend and I have several brands in bulk on hand including:

Tula "Silver Bear" 115 grn fmj
WWB 124 grn "Nato" spec
WWB 115 grn fmj
Samson black tip (found several boxes of these, dated 1985, at the last local gunshow)

Also going to try some 147 subsonic but...my understanding is that the "hotter" the load, the better for the Uzi (within sanity of course).

So...is there any loading to specifically avoid? Any that yours likes over others? What works best for you?

If you have no intention of reloading then steel-cased stuff is great. I have had zero issues with any of it. I like being able to clean up with a magnet. My absolute favorite above anything else is the Wolf 124 gr, but that's not always available it seems.

About the only brass-cased that get's frequent negative reviews is the underpowered Remington stuff. There were some squibs from certain lots of Adcom. Squibs are sometimes reported with WWB, but when you consider the huge quantities involved......

There is also some corrosive surplus. Some of it is IMI. Corrosive is no big deal as long as you know it's corrosive.

I own lots of the Remington ammo. But have never shot it in my Uzi. I bought it because at one time, it was all that I could find. So, I tell myself that I'll shoot it in my G19.

I'd be interested to hear how the Tula, and Brown/Silver Bear fares in the Full Size. I have had no probs with steel case in my UZI, however mine does not like aluminum cased ammo for some reason. WWB is always a good choice. Fiocci, Blazer BRASS, S&B, all run great through my RIG. Not a big fan of old corrosive ammo.

Hey, since this is on topic of ammo, I tool my new (but used) IMI Model A 9mm out for the first time and the first 3 mags shot well with no issues, then my last 2 mags had issues with every few rounds. The whole time I shot I used American Eagle 124 grain total metal jacket. Should I avoid this? I also shot using the same magazine. It fired but failed to eject. looks like poor cycling? thoughts?

I've use Wolf, Brown Bear and Silver Bear with zero issues in FS FA UZI. For brass I've only used WWB with great results. After cleaning all my used magazines all the issues went away - imagine that!

I did have one WWB round in a semi-auto sound odd when fired, turned out there was no primer hole. No damage from primer debris flying all over the receiver.

Seems like a range report is in order :)

Had to delay the range run til Tuesday due to a family health issue but will post some results (will try for some pics too but my camera capabilities (and talent thereof) are somewhat limited I'll admit .

Glad to hear that the Ruskie steel case seems to run well in lots of them. I got a deal on a 1000 rnd case last weekend and an option to get some more at that price so...

stay tuned for a Wed report if all goes well.

Keep the experiences coming if you will. Thanks to all who responded.

Why go with a reload for $233 for 1 k when you can get the "gold standard" ammo for Uzis for $225 for 1 k. I mean WWB 115 gr FMJ new factory from Graf.

But if you shoot alot it is cheaper to buy more than 1k of the LCB. If you are only buying 1K or less WWB is cheaper.

I didn't see where it says it is a relaod, If it is a reload then the WWB is a better deal.
