Are any of you guys running ported barrels in your full size UZIs?  Did it make a noticeable difference? If a good porting job cut down muzzle rise by 10 - 20% I’d do mine. IMI supplied some minis with ported barrels back in the day but the only full size ported UZI I’ve ever seen was Richard Hoffmans (RIP) personal gun and that was obviously a custom job

Probably be easier to just thread the bbl and install a compensator. Should be more effective as well, further out increases the leverage and the chambers add to the effect over plain bbl ports.

These folks make a stainless steel model for carbines, heard good things about them.

Shouldn’t be much muzzle rise on a full size at all… that’s why they never did a ported barrel for them. Any machine shop could cut ports in your barrel if wanted

I had Amphibian a member here make me one for my full size and I can really tell the difference when I use a one and a quarter inch buffer.

Maybe I just suck but I have never seen much difference with compensators on full auto 9mm's. I also had factory IMI compensated Mini and Micro barrels and I can't tell a difference with them either.

I also tried a thread on compensator on a post sample full auto Glock. I couldn't tell a difference with that either. Maybe it just wasn't a good compensator. I don't know.

I do think they look cool though....but since I also prefer shooting suppressed the most, I lean more towards having my muzzles setup to accept a suppressor and if we are talking about the UZI, then using a compensated barrel with a barrel nut mount just makes the whole setup longer than it needs to be.
