I may be alone on this, but I think it would be nice to have the safety selector notch already milled into the side. I know many have builds that mimic a select-fire, with two notches cut in after the fact. I would prefer one notch if possible. Does this matter to anybody else? Adipose, do you know if Denny plans to do this?
As of now; Denny plans on building a copy(s) of a standard IMI semi-auto 5.56/ .308 receiver(s) in the configuration they are in.
If you ask for having a receiver built leaving one of the steps out:
like leaving the sides blank minus dovetail scopemount area or stock mounting hole in the stock rear; that probably be no problem.
But sometimes depending on the programming steps and how parts are in a fixture; it can be extra work; which means additional costs usually.
When you ask to change different dimensions or machine another area that is not in the CNC program is where he may have some reluctance.
Especially if only one or two receivers will be in this configuration. It will also drive up costs. But if a person doesn't mind spending more money for the additional time; I guess that is ok. If he will do it?
I'll bring this up; this week when I talk to him on the variations that everyone has come up with and give an update to everyone.
