My new to me PS M10/45 has a chunk that looks ground off the chamber of the barrel from 12 o"clock to 3 o"clock. Did it come this way from the factory or is it broken. Also, where can I buy original Powder Springs parts. My stock's shoulder piece will not stay in place because the pin the notch rests in is gone.

Thanks,

Kevin

My P.S. m10 .45 looks just like what you described on yours. I think thats normal. I don't know where to get original parts, but R.P.B sells replacement parts, and the service is good. There was a thread here in the mac section a while back that listed some more mac parts sources. trgrhppy

You should repair the stock rail. That stock is out of production at the moment. It's an easy fix on a commonly failing part.

The extractor clearance cut is necesary on the mouth of the barrel. It saves your extractor when closing on an empty chamber.

Barrel notch on MAC10

If I remember right, if you have a dud round in the chamber there is not enough room between the extractor and barrel to kick out the round. I believe the barrel is releaved so a loaded round has room to eject. Best Regards JB
