I purchased this barrel thinking that it should fit with no problem but alas I was wrong. Seems to be a couple thousands of an inch to big at the clambering in end. My original pistol barrel is .60 and the 16.1 barrel is .62 the only barrel markings are the number 6770 stamped near the part where the barrel nut would cover. Is it safe to sand down to fit or should I just bail, sell it and purchase one from green mountain. Thanks for any responses.

According to your posted measurements it is twenty thousands too big ( .020 ) and should not be sanded down. Bring it to a machinist friend, local shop or trade school to have it properly turned down. It is not a big job! It will need refinishing also.

It seems that the specs on a green mountain barrel are the same dia. At the chamber end of these Uzi barrels. Is it safe to mill down. Why are the 10 inch pistol barrels smaller in diameter than the 16inch

Is this a new Vector or an older one? The older Vectors all used the same feed ramp so the rear of the barrels on all the SA guns were the same size.

Various semi barrels are super tight in the vector sa i purchased this year, i used a demel to polish the inside of the barrel ring, but all barrels except the original i basically have to chuck in a vise to get out.

It is a new vector arms full size pistol..I also noticed the the 16.1 inch barrel has a sleeve or chrome lined in the chamber whereas the pistol barrel has a steel chamber. I just don't want to spend 40 more dollars to have some one turn the barrel down and find out it does not work..I will try the polishing deal and maybe I will only need to turn It down .001 I don't want something to go wrong and lose my warranty..might just go sbr..almost there money wise anyway..
