Well, after 6 months of waiting for my stamp, the UZI is finally finished with beautiful 3-lug cut-down barrel just installed from Mark at TROS. Just wanted to say the workmanship is great and this truly makes it feel like a totally different weapon to me.

You will never want to shoot it unsuppressed again. Nice looking rig. Oh, and props to Mark. His work is top shelf.

I know what you mean Cajun. Been shooting my MP5 suppressed for some time and it's hard to go back. I am kind of interested in what the differences in sound level between the two weapons will be. Lots of weight in the UZI bolt - regardless - very excited.

All my "kids" ready to head out to the range tomorrow...

Nice collection. I am waiting on an SBR stamp for the MP5K clone at the moment. I have an MK9K that will do double duty on the K gun also. I like that case alot also. Might have to set one up as the "toy box" for the range.

Hey Cajun - sounds like you've got the bug as well. The case actually works really well for my needs - primarily range but some travel. I did some pretty significant customization to put in a center divider so I could store ammo on the other side.

This set up wouldn't be great for airline travel but it works well for range and car travel and it allows me to get everything i need in one spot.

I bought the one case (Boyt) and multiple sets of foam. I have a set for carbines, AK's, etc..

I then got clever and bought a secure shelf / drawer unit with an industrial drawer where I can put each foam set with weapons and ammo. Actually works really well for my moderately secure storage and transport needs. Matt

Thanks for the pics Matt. I might have to look into the multiple foam inserts and partition. I think I found my next project.

No, it's just a carving knife I use on the foam (pretty high end one). I wish I could find something a bit neater - you tend to get better at it over time but they are rougher than I'd like when you take out the components - when everything is all laying in, it always looks better ;-) At any rate, it's proven to be a great system so far.

For anyone interested in what I found to store/secure, this is a link to what I invested in.

It's a bit expensive but it is very heavy duty and you can get it with doors or locking bar. Certainly not as secure or fireproof as a dedicated case but the way I set things up, the security comes from how/where I mount, protect and hide it. For me, its the perfect choice for storing guns, ammo, and some emergency supplies together behind closed doors. Matt

Another fan of Mark/TROS. This is the latest purchase: UZI adapter for 9mm M16 for use with my Vector (Brugger&Thomet design) suppressor.

Mark has done several barrels for me over the last few years, including a couple of custom jobs. His work is top shelf.

Just heard from him today. He was kind enough to reply to one of my SBR questions same day I sent it. I'll be picking up one of his 5" 9mm 3 lug barrels soon.
