Ranking System?

Just out of curiosity, I noticed that that people have different "rankings" regardless of how many posts they've made, how does that system work?
Is it based on donations or something else?

I would like to become a "member" or "supporter" but I'm not really sure how to go about doing that. Should I just keep posting?
