Hey All,

I'm in need of a person who will refinish or re-blue my Mac-10. I don't want a "paint job", I would like a finish leaning toward Uzi-black, or an olive-green, with a smooth finish. ****Would like someone who could supply me a few pictures of their work!!!*****

I don't want Sam/Practical Solution-gray with a "sandy rough" finish. I just need someone who will do the frame-minus the barrel and the internal parts.
Also someone who will do a Class-III frame.....I know, I know, I have had several people turn me down when I answered "yes" to a SMG. I know it's just the frame-that's what I tried to explain!!??

Any suggestions to a refinish/re-blue job??

Thanks!!
Cohiba

C&S Metal Werkes in Missouri did a complete strip and re-finish on my M11/9 in HK Black Enamel. It's bomb. I don't know how to post a picture but could send you on in an email.

posting pic is pretty easy, you need to load them on to a hosting site, I use www.photobucket.com then copy the direct link click on the Insert image icon from the tool menu on the reply page and you are set.

You don't even need to go that far. Just reply to this thread and choose "manage attachments" from the "additional options" area under your reply. You can then click "browse" and upload your file (as long as it's not over 97.7 kb). I've done it several times!

I would really like to see your HK black finish. I'm thinking of getting the exact same thing done!

You contradict yourself...

If you want a smooth Uzi-Black or olive-green finish, and don't want the coarse mat finish of parkerization, you are looking at some sort of applied finish.

Bluing would be impractical for this type of gun (sheet metal with welds will offer an inconsistent finish). Phosphating is cheap and easy, but not the look you describe.

I'd suggest DuraCoat in HK black. When applied correctly it is almost indestructible. The best part is, if you take your time, you can do it yourself.

You could wire wheel, then buff then black oxide it. If you did this you would have to make sure you kept a good coat of oil on it.

That NP3 is the shit. As I understand it you can have some choice as to how matte or shinny is that correct?
