What host options does one have with a registered Uzi sear? It wont turn a semi auto to full auto because of the blocking bar correct? And you cant cut a slot in a smg bolt as that creates a new MG.

Yes, you're correct. A registered sear is more valuable for a Mini UZI or Micro UZI that don't have blocking bars. In a full size UZI, registered sears require other modifications to the gun so the sear becomes married to the gun, or to the other modified part. People like Fleming did it for a while until the ATF made made them stop. It was an idea copied from the HK conversions and it doesn't translate as well to the UZI platform.

You can possibly do a slotted micro bolt. If atf allows this I’m not 100 percent sure. But I make transferable slotted bolts that work in all 3 hosts. Idk if they would consider this a “new mg” if you say you want to put it in a full size host it needs to be slotted and cut down for speed. Technically you can put the sear in any uzi so I don’t see why it would be a problem and the bolt would be married to the sear

It is my understanding that back in the day ATF was not too particular about conversions as long as something had a serial number on it and was registered. If something like a slotted bolt was registered but then it was put in an unmarked unregistered full size Uzi that they had removed the blocking bar from, at that point they would have been married because it happened back then. If you do it now that would be considered making a new machine gun. In other words putting a registered sear in a mini or micro without the blocking bar and not doing any receiver mods might be acceptable, slotting a bolt or removing a blocking bar would not be.

My full size Uzi all of a sudden stopped running when I was at the range I couldn’t understand why till I took the lower off the sear was cracked in two. It seems it’s a bit too fragile at least the one I had in my lower was.

I agree. Between the risk of wear/breakage, plus the need to modify other pieces, I consider a registered sear to be the least desirable option. Some like it for the Mini because the Mini wasn't released early enough for there to be registered receiver options, but I wouldn't go there.

Morphys auction house has one up for auction currently. Unfortunately i don't have the spare cash at the moment but if i did i would want to put it in a mini. I forgot they didn't get the blocking bars. I already own a Vector SMG.

This is a pretty grey area for me to invest my hard earned money. But I'll assume it's kosher. Pardon the pun. This sear apparently never made it into a host after Bill was stopped from registering sears?
