If you do a search some people have bought the "tubes" and replaced them, there is a video floating around You Tube. I think for the time looking for and getting the
right tubes and replacing you're better off just buying them from 24hourtactical

Meprolight is part of a group that also owns IWI. They are quality sights & make quality military grade optics that the IDF use. I have used them on most of my firearms & never been disappointing by them, if that is what you are asking about.

I've been on the look out for galil nights sights. Dose any one have the mounting hard wear (springs and pins). I could buy the meprolight ones seperatly, but they only include the sights. Also does any one have or know what roll pin to use for the bayonet lug.

If you have an original Magnum Research or Action Arms Galil, then I would keep the "original" sights on the rifle.

Let me rephrase that. I'm looking to buy complete night sight kits. The current galil dose not have any night sights or the springs and pins. I'm asking if any one has the springs, plunger, and pins for installation of the night sights. Do any of you know where I can get those parts

Apex has the front night sight spring
https://www.apexgunparts.com/imi-galil-front-night-sight-spring.html

Apex also has a luminous paint READY front night sight if you don’t want the meprolights

Meprolights are the only game in town for working tritium sights. They are very good.

The front roll pin is not hard to find. Check a hardware store or buy an assortment of roll pins and use one that fits.

I don’t see any rear night sight plunger or spring online, but it wouldn’t be hard to cut down a spring to keep tension on the rear night sight blade. It should hold just fine until you locate the right parts.

For actual tactical purposes, it’s best to just have the front sight illuminated. The rear sight brightness degrades your sight picture in the dark and fuzzes out the front night sight. Front night sight only allows for quick point and shoot (not that you should be shooting anyone in the dark… haha)

Not on this forum often, but I have complete sets -- can pull night sights that still have some lum too...
