No worries, the picture I sent wasn't to focus on the throwing star, but of the lower part which is a single piece with both ends pointed. I didn't notice that in the original post. I bought it on Gunbroker years ago and haven't seen one since.
I think that single piece with both ends pointed and marked on both sides on opposite ends is a piece not cut into yet making two blades for the knife.

That makes sense, it’s a factory blade blank and it would explain why the atchisson patent is still visible on it and not ground off like it was for the bayonets and any other usage of that blade other than its original patented design.

Just logged on and saw this, so I will clear the record. I put the cross together for my Man Cave with a star, the throwing knife, the buckle and patch that I bought from Gunbroker over the years. The shadow box was from Michaels (hobby place) and nothing special. I was just contributing the two pointed knife that I have as it seemed rare. I took the display out of the shadow box (trip wire to hold the contents in) so you wouldn't get a reflection. The finish on the 2 pointed blade is more of a rough, dull parkerized finish compared to the star that appears smoother textured and darker. I took a pic of both sides and they both appear to have the typical stamping on them. One side is more pronounced than the other. There are a noted indention and a prominent protrusion in the middle of the blade. Hope this clears up everything. I do blame the MAC MAN book for taking me down this road as I am hooked for finding accessories. That's why I had to have the bayonet because it's campy and cool and never knew it existed before. Either way, happy to contribute to the fun.

You don’t happen to remember the name of the GB seller who you got the double ended knife from do ya? Was it “Angie”? On GB?

Thanks for sharing!

I honestly don't remember, and because it wasn't a firearm, I would not have printed the buying advertisement. It was well over 3 years ago for sure because I live in a newer place now for 3 years. Probably tack on another 2 or 3 years probably to that.

Attached are a few photos of the M10 bayonet for 9mm. It would need a washer to properly index it, but put this on for a quick pic.

I’ve got the bayonet as well. Came from the same seller who had the double ended uncut atchisson blades and various other oddities on GB. The timeline you mentioned could be correct, he would pop up every couple years selling those bayonets. He finally just sold out of them about a year or 2 ago now when I bought my last one.

Interesting that your bayonet has the atchisson thrower patent still in tact, most of them have it milled off the blade. Mine included. Yours is the only one I have seen that still has the atchisson thrower patent on it, I think.

I'm a bayonet collector and recently came into one of the M11/9 Carbine bayonets. It has the unthreaded socket that secures with a threaded nut. However, the nut is missing from my example. It is pictured on my bayonet site at

M11/Nine Socket Bayonet

I wanted to obtain the correct size nut but am finding conflicting information regarding the threads on the carbine barrel. This thread indicates 5/8-24. The following thread indicates 9/16-18 https://www.uzitalk.com/forums/index.php?threads/m11-9-barrel-thread-question.55369/

I just wanted to confirm the correct thread for the nut. Any help is most appreciated.

Very impressed with your bayonet website. Just added a bookmark. Thank you!
