I am picking up my NIB M11/9 on Mon. Should I lube it up before I shoot it?

I fiqure it has been lying around for 20 years, might be a tad dry.

Any prep or just hose with it right out da box?

Lube it up, Make sure you check and see if your buffer is dried out.

Don't have to check... if the buffer has been in there 20 years it is shot... Get a couple new ones... They are cheap... You might tear up the gun with the old one... After a couple shots it will turn to dust.... These are good...

BTW you don't need to tear the whole bolt apart to replace them... Cut the corner and slide it in... It will hold well when it is in the gun.

Next purchase will be a Gemtech Viper/9mm. I like the retro style look of the combo..

Has anyone replace the charging bolt handle for something easier to manage? I also like the Mini-Uzi side folder stock

I've got the paddle mag release and the mini-uzi folder. Both are great, but I truely love the stock.

I see you went with the Lage safety lever and grips.

How do you like the grips? I see another 1k dollars going into this piece w/the goodies and can...

I should make it comfortable and safe to shoot with the extras and save for the make it quiet extra toy.

I bought 12 of the Recon Ord mags and now to put the finishing touches, keeping it stock looking and functional...

The grips are very nice, much more comfortable and you can't scratch the metal magwell. The grips need modified (with a dremel) if you want to use the paddle mag release also. It took me about 3 minutes to do the job. I also really like the extended safety. It is much easier to read and move. I have a few friends who are not gun-swavy that I take to the range. I am much more comfortable letting them shoot the open bolt with this safety switch on. It is obvious if it is in safe or fire and can be moved back and forth very easily.

There was a guy selling two of those on gunbroker a while back. I almost bought one from him, but I thought it was kind of expensive. I really like the idea of shooting the cheap drums.

Would you mind pointing me to where you got yours?

This is'nt mine. My dad is working on making one with Wildman. It is not that hard to make one. My dad and, Wildman are working on a .45 that takes Thompson mags and, drums.

Practical solutions. I don't have their website handy but try a search of their name on uzitalk. If you can't find it, I'll look it up. Definately a quality product and very quick delivery.
