Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a clean/excellent condition S&W 76 and wondering what a fair price is. I see them all over the board. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Best,
Clark

They float $9000-13,500 over the years. They seem to be going back up in value again. I’d expect to pay $11,000-12,500 right now. Two just sold at the low and high end of the market on GB last week.

After you get one I strongly recommend a silencer barrel from Curtis tactical and a trigger job from John andrewski .

I'd agree with Battering ram NIB on the valuation. Post a WTB ad here and see what offers you get.

This one isn’t bad. It’s got a scuff that might drop the price a bit. If all 5 mags are legit S&w that’s $600-750 extra in mags. Which brings the real price down to $11,400

Get a video on how loose the stock is and more pics. Get pics of the bottom of the mags. Make sure they are S&w
Get a video of it running 2-3 mags in a row or a guarantee of function

The magazine shown in the gun is not an original S&W mag

I asked him the same thing in a PM. I consider the telescoping buffer and the relocated extractor to be significant improvements and the ability to use unmodified $20 Suomi mags somewhat less significant but still a worthwhile upgrade.

Yes there are some tweaks that make the Burgess guns nice, but the fact is they are not factory original and utilize a lot of special weapons parts. The Suomi mags are easily modified to fit the S&W guns.

The only specialized parts are the bolt and buffer. And "factory original" S&W parts are virtually non-existent at this point. The Burgess guns have virtually no collector value compared to the S&W guns but they don't cost anywhere near as much either. You more or less get what you pay for.

Understood that they aren't original S&W smgs and are priced accordingly, but all the reports I've read from owners are that they are good shooters. The bolt, of course, is different to accommodate the gun being built on a Stemple tube.

I just listed mine. Decided to move on. Integral
Silencer just came out of Nfa jail. Amazing can

Mines the cleanest one I’ve ever seen. Runs perfect. I think barely used

It’s in Gb if your still looking
I listed it at the high end of the market but it includes a $1000 brand new can that most buyers would want anyways

I can't believe the price you got for that front grip on GB!
