Thank you.

Can you substitute the rivet for something I can easily do?

That was my original goal, but it appears as though it may be far reached.

Based on my review:
1. The pins really need to be tight and not floating like an “E” clip would allow.
2. The two riveted pins (trigger to trigger bar & trigger to frame) are both very small and not standard sizes.
3. The pins themselves are critical to safety as they control the geometry of the fire control group. If not properly secured, you would have a runaway gun. I wouldn’t feel comfortable, providing an alternate solution unless my confidence was extremely high that it could be done so safely and I’m just not there yet.

I added sear springs to my website. Also, I had a lot of out of stock inventory those items are mostly back in stock now I’m still working on trigger bars and sears.

Any idea of a time frame for sear and bars?
Not trying to rush just inquiring because I’m probably going to sell my gun and this will help me get the most out of it.

I have prototypes that’ll go out to test hopefully in a week. If everything goes good, I can start making parts within a few weeks.

Chances are that I’m going to have to provide a service to change out these parts since they’re riveted in. PM me your information and we may look at going ahead and getting your lower headed this way. As of today, my estimated cost to swap out the sear, sear spring and trigger bar is $450. I’ll return your used parts and that also includes shipping back to the customer.

Of course, I’ll have the individual parts for sale on my website once they become available but unfortunately, it doesn’t look like I’ll be selling the rivets because they will need to be “fitted” to each individual gun.

I must give credit where it’s due. I could not have done this without the help of @MontanaRenegade86 and @KickStand

I very much appreciate the shout-out and am proud of the small part I was able to play.

@Navgunner's reputation is hard earned and well deserved.

I've been cobbling 76/760 parts together for a couple of years, but was having trouble getting my hands on a recoil spring guide rod. I was able to scratch that item off the list a short while ago. In a little while, there will be two more parts (sear and trigger bar) that get scratched off the list.

The 76/760 has just become a heck of a lot more desirable to collectors and shooters.

All I can say is thanks to Navgunner and other 76 owners. I purchased some of the items from Navgunner and I was pleased with the quality and delivery.

As more things are added, I will be buying.

Many thanks to Navgunner.

Just to add my accolades to Austin, he hs really stepped up and filled a need, I'm most appreciative and will probably have him install a new trigger bar in my 76 before too long. I'm also gonna stock up on his other parts for future needs. I have bought some things from KAK over the years, glad to find out they also are supplying some of our needs.

These S&W76 / MK760 sears and trigger bars were officially posted on my website for preorders (I wasn't going to offer them early but ultimately I did after receiving multiple requests). I also surrendered and made removable pins with e-clips for the lowers that will only be available in the sets.

Fun Fact:

The listing's image (on my website) is a photograph that was taken of my ship, USS Carney DDG-64 about 20 years ago shooting surface to air missiles during a coordinated exercise. It was a big deal back then and was even featured on the cover of The Navy Times magazine. A few years ago that same U.S. Destroyer was extremely successful defending itself and our Allies while operating in the Red Sea, shooting many dozens of these same missiles. On Oct. 19, 2023 USS Carney (DDG 64) was involved on in the most intense combat engagement by a U.S. Navy warship since WWII. I'm extremely proud of my 5 years spent onboard that warship and remain thankful to those men who forever shaped my life (Vice Admiral Boxall, FCCM Anderson, FC2 Hillis and many, many more).

Below is NavGunner’s trigger pin and E-Clip setup. I highly recommend this as it’s extremely clean and even resembles the factory rivet. More importantly, it allows you to service the weapon WITHOUT drilling the rivet out and then buying another rivet and then reinstalling the new rivet.

This is how the weapon platform should’ve been made!

Is the sear already attached to the bar via rivet? No matter what I will be ordering one.

I can do either a rivet or an e-clip, whichever the customer prefers.

Personally, I much prefer manufacturing to gunsmithing, but I joyfully support the products which I produce. That being said, for me to do the service I’m thinking about charging $150 which would include priority shipping back to the customer (insurance would be the actual cost at whatever coverage customer chooses).

I can’t speak for others, but I would believe that John Andrewski would be a great source for this gunsmithing work too. He’s a wonderful gunsmith and very knowledgeable on the platform.

After giving this some thought I am Okay with the E-Clip solution. I am not currently having a malfunctioning trigger bar but I want this gun to live on so I want to acquire as many spare parts as I can. My order has been placed. The last part I am wanting is a Bolt with a robust lower lip. I wish I could have acquired one of Scott's bolts!

The sear attaches to the lower independent of the trigger bar.

The trigger-bar will still be riveted to a customer’s existing trigger via a rivet (which I will supply with the kit).

Since these are critical to safety components I highly encourage customers to have a qualified professional gunsmith install them.
