I just put 1000 rounds through an MK760 with my final test extractor. The extractor shows no wear at all. I need to drill the axis pin hole and heat treat this first run then I will start shipping them. Should be end of next week. I have also added extractor springs to the website.

I will ship the majority of the extractor backorders tomorrow. I have 12 left that I have listed on our website 76/760 Extractor. I will be listing some new parts on the website over the next few days.

I so hope they will let my gun run. I'm going to try it as soon as I can and if all is good I'll order a second!
Thanks Richard.

Woodenword,
These are not magical extractors, they are just well made ones. If you have a bad extractor this will take care of the problems. If you have other problems they might help but it will probably not fix the problem.

Got all my goodies. Yay!
The extractor looks good...
The new spring is a third again as long as my original spring...goes to show how many rounds are under it.
The new pin is straight - read that as my original is bent a little bit and shows wear. It would not go in with finger pressure, so I had to tap it in with a brass punch.

Finally got to run it this morning....there is much rejoicing!
It completely ran without a hiccup. I put 5 mags thru the Stemple of Doom, and the only stoppages were when the mags ran dry.
Thank you Richard.

Glad to hear this, have a Burgess 76 myself, so I'm gonna pick up these parts too.

I've got a Burgess copy, I don't think the extractor is in such a bind as on the 760 and 76, however I have one on order for a spare. I appreciate someone making parts for this gun and I hope to see others coming soon.

While measuring 76/760 bolts I have come to find out that the dimensions on S&W 76 bolts are not the same as MK 760 bolts. The bolt face on S&W bolts is further forward. This means that the S&W bolts do not use the same extractor as the MK Arms bolts. All the bolts measured so far have the straight transition.

If anyone has an MK760 bolt with the radiused transition I need to measure it to see if there is two different versions of extractors for the MK 760s.

If anyone bought the first run of extractors for a S&W76 bolt, please try them in your bolt and make sure the extractor will clip over the rim of a 9mm case. Please let me know either way. If they do not work let me know and I will get you taken care of.

I have not measured any Burgess SW76 bolts yet but I have had two customers let me know how my first run of extractors fit. One said it fit great and made his gun run perfectly. The other said the extractor would not clip over the rim of the case. This tells me that there is a wide variation in the dimensions of their bolts. Without measuring a bunch of Burgess SW76 bolts I can not 100% verify this, but if what the customers are telling me is true it is a good indicator. Due to this fact I am unable to say which extractor the Burgess SW76 bolts take.

The first run of extractors fit the MK760. The hook needs to be moved forward to fit the S&W76. The pin hole is on the same place an both the MK760 and the S&W76 bolts I have measured. It's the bolt face that is in a different position. The second run of extractors will have two different extractors one for the S&W and one for the MK760.

I still need to measure some of the MK760 bolts with the radiused transition. So if you have one please let me know.

If I were to send you my bolt would that be the best solution?

Gun will be in jail for a year anyways

I just got around to checking one of the first batch in my original S&W76. It's too short and won't catch the rim. I'll email with a pic if you'd like. I will say quality looks great, the originals appear to have been stamped out. Are these edm?

If you send the extractors back I will recut them for the S&W bolt. I know have the proper measurements for the S&W bolts. I cut these out on an EDM.
