I don't want to jinx anything, but in play mode, my new extractor has run very very well in my Jim Burgess SW76 / Stemple (9MM NATO).
I will give it a bit more of a workout next Sunday, at a local subgun match.

I will let y'all know how it goes.
BTW, when I compared to new BWE extractor to my Burgess supplied OEM extractor...they looked to my untrained eye to be nearly identical.

for Burgess there may be enough $$ to make 1 run of bolts???...i would most likely take 2 as i am a spare parts hog

only 100 guns though....not sure how many of those 100 show up here on Uzi talk, but ill bet if they knew all 100 would buy a bolt

I emailed Burgess and asked if he had any spare parts along with some other questions...his only reply was - no parts at this time.....didnt seem like he wanted to be bothered....maybe he sold all 100 now and has moved on to the suppressors only for it

Rich - Confused! Will a 76 bolt fit an MK receiver and function? Please clarify. Thanks.

A MK760 bolt should fit in a Smith and Wesson S&W 76 and vice versa. But a Burgess SW 76 (without the &) is a different animal. The inside diameter of the receiver is larger and the Bugress bolts are sleeved to fit.
Look in the Smith & Wesson 76 book if you have a copy it's all covered in there (with photos) If you don't have a copy you should get one, the book can answer almost any thing you could think of about the '76 and all its clones, including the semi-autos

A S&W 76 bolt should work fine in an MK760, but the MK760 tolerances are not nearly as consistent as the S&W76 which could lead to problems.

FWIW Burgess's paperwork says his guns use the "long" extractor for the bolt with the flat transition same as the original S&W, not the shorter one used by some MK 760 versions
