I'll be there on Saturday and Sunday. I have family and freinds that I'll be spending time with after the show, but I'm open to suggestions.

I'll be there and I'm going to arrange a group dinner Saturday night for anyone that's interested. Prebans is going to help me with a restaurant recomendation that will be a little closer than the journey we went on last year. Anyone intersted in joining us should post a reply here or send me a PM.

Meeting at the Vector table doesn't work very well because it's usually crowded there. How about meeting outside the southeast door to the SAR building. (That's the door closest to the SAR table last year.) Anyone interested can meet there at noon each day, BS for a while and grab some lunch. I don't arrive until 2:00 on Friday but I'll be there at noon on Saturday and Sunday.

Good idea Dave! Outside the yellow building the SAR show is held in at the entrance across from the LMO table sounds like a much better idea due to the large crowds.

My youngest daughter recently moved to Phoenix and I need to spend some time with her. I wish I could join everyone for dinner, but it seems doubtful at this time.

I'm coming in Friday morning and leave late Saturday afternoon. I won't be able to make the Saturday night dinner.

I have sold my DLO 1919 and I'm lusting after something HK. I know there will be plenty to see at the show... it's just a matter of price.

I owe Kyle lunch from earlier this year. If I plan my arrival a little later Saturday, I can get out cheap and have extra money for gun stuff. :jester

It'll be good to see you and Jeff again.

Sandy and I are planning to attend the SAR Show for all three days.

Kyle, with all the HK stuff that shows up, I'm sure you'll find something. Think about a Registered Sear Pack on a nice host.

Here's some excellent advice regarding the upcoming the SAR Show written by Dan Shea that I cut and pasted this from Sub Guns. Make note that there will be a band playing beginning at Noon on Saturday, so that may impact our plans to meet outside the door.

Those knowledgeable about such things will advise as follows...

The rarest most desirable things will be flying off the tables at opening on Friday, even if they don't go on Thursday to other dealers during set up. Get there Friday. If something rare has my eye and it is in my budget, I make the deal then and there... because it won't be there later. Someone else will grab it and I will be whining for hours about "Damn, I should have bought that".

Sunday there are usually bargains to be had, heavy stuff people don't want to cart home, dealers trying to top off their sales or raise cash for things THEY bought at the show. Don't try this late in the day, do it early... late in the day most are trying to pack up and won't deal... many won't talk "Deal" with you late on Sunday because they will think you are a jerk who's playing them. Same thing you feel when a dealer low-balls you- you think the guy's a jerk and probably won't deal with him. If you want to make lower offers, do it Sunday morning. Don't shoot the messenger, just filling y'all in on the things I hear dealers say. Better mood for "Dealing" on Sunday morning and the dealer will let you know if you should come back to see if he still has it Sunday afternoon.

Wear comfortable shoes. Bring a backpack or cart. Bring cash, green talks. There are ATMs on site, but they charge fees. Pace yourself, drink lots of water. Plenty of good food on site.

When you come in the front gate, go right and straight down the fence to the huge building about 200 yards down= with the SAR signs on it. Start right in at the good stuff..... but don't forget there are about 2000 tables of regular gun show at the Crossroads of the West show section in five buildings, three big tents, and one covered area. This show is huge.

We usually have the UPS Store in a booth at SAR, they just canceled this morning, couldn't get employees to work that weekend.. we are trying to get a different shipper to come in. This worked great for stuff you didn't want to fly home with. I sold a 300 LB mount last year and the guys took the crate and called for a pick up in to deliver to the customer. I will post when we get this sorted.

List of past vendors/dealers is on the SAR Show website. We will put the current list on the site this week so you can see who is set up in our buildings.

There are hotel lists on the site.

Above all, have fun, see friends, talk guns, and generally enjoy yourselves- that is what this is about. The country western band "Mogollon 4" will be playing in the main area in front of the SAR buildings on Saturday from Noon to 4pm, darn good music... grab some smoked Tri-Tip and go give them a listen when you need a break.

There is a shoot on Tuesday at the Big Sandy in Wikieup, worth going early to put some rounds downrange. We are trying to go, but we have the insanity of setting up the show starting Tues Afternoon from our end... maybe, maybe not be there, but y'all should try for it.

Let's see.... So many people with so much cool stuff... for the locals, I know that J&T has a transfer dealer working with them, so you can buy semis from them. Dennis Todd has some rare M60s again, haven't heard what else. Like I said, so much going on, it's hard to even think about it... I heard there will be a cool Lewis display of four different guns including one on an original 1915 Scharf Mount.....

NFATCA has the ATF in for a meeting on Saturday morning, members and SAR badge holders only... if you want in, join NFATCA or get a badge from them www.nfatca.org . Pastry and coffee mixer starts at 0700 on Saturday in the SAR building just like the last two years. 0730 address by Lou Raden, Deputy Director, ATF.... 0745 Q&A panel including Gary Schaible from NFA Branch, Rick Vasquez from Tech Branch, Attorney Mark Barnes....

There are still about 4 or 5 tables left in the new section we designed, so if you want tables, call Renae at 702-565-2926.... now....

We'll see y'all in Phoenix
