Good morning,

I was wondering if any one used this type of mount before?

I want to mount some type of dot optic and was curious if this would mount to my century arms golani.

I also looked at this one:

But I really dont know much about them so any recommendations would be appreciated. I presume that there are specific rings that would work for this type of mount?

I would still prefer to go with the first one though! :)

I have used the one on top. The problem I had with it is you have to remove the fore grip to get it on & off. The other problem is it does not meet MIL-STD 1913 & my Meprolight 21I was loose on it. I would go with a railed gas tube or a complete rail system. I just plain got tired of dicking around with the multitude of lousy mounts for Galils.

Thanks! Out of curiosity, how much does one of those run and do you have any links to reputable places where I could get one? I was hoping to have something with minimal adjustment/work that I could take on or off as needed.

Ill avoid the second one that I posted. I did a few more searches and figured out that they are not the best...

just got a mount from PRI precision reflex industries i believe www.pri-mounts.com Nice mount cost 107.00 delivered. The only problem is the galil mounts are so high the ACOG i bought (which also comes with a high mount)is too high to use.So now i gotta sell the ACOG.I believe my EOTEC will work as it is almost too low on a flat top ar-15.

John is a regular to the board here & has a web site were he also sells many other Galil items. You can e mail him directly. A great guy to deal with.

That would work but I am a left handed shooter with a right handed rifle so I am SOL... :)

I was actually looking at these...
