Not quite double. Pam2's are .075" and zmags are .050"

Cool, that's good to know. What I was trying to say is that the PAM2 mags have a two-ply sheet metal feed lip vs one-ply. The PAM2 feed lips seem much more robust and can be filed, ground, welded, and tweaked fairly easily.

What's your resultant count? 30 or 28? During my beta testing I found that they'll actually hold 32 and jam when that full... but they're designed for 30 rounds and if you indeed only load 30 then they work great at that tension.

Sorry for the wait. Resultant count is 30. It will hold 32, but will jam up if you don't download it to 30.
As far as cleaning... Take the base plate off, then scrub out the mag body, oil it up and put it back together.
Had a surprising amount of crap in there. I do have all the lage gas blocks so I might be pushing crap into the mag because of my suppresor.

Apr 2, 2014: ZMAG Tooling Complete
We have finished all of the production tooling for the ZMAGs for the M11/NINE guns. We will be running samples this Friday. Look for an update—with video—this weekend. :)

Didn't happen last weekend -- and we still want to see it! ;)

Hi, I know. We got through most of the tools last week. But ran out of time for the last two change-outs. We have them scheduled to run next Tuesday. I should have a comprehensive update a day (or so) after that. (I am always about 1,000 things behind on my daily list of a million things to do. And it's tax season. Bear with me, if you can.)

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't find any pre-order links. Have pre-orders for these mags stopped? Just when I thought I was done buying M11/9 mags some current production 50 rounders show up! (maybe...)

From the website:

"Mar 18, 2014: ZMAG Pre-Order Closing. To ensure we’re able to get out the pre-orders as quickly as possible, we will stop accepting new pre-orders on Mar 23, 2014."

Waiting anxiously for my 6 mags :banana

Apr 24, 2014: ZMAG Production Begins

We’re in actual production! :) Here are a couple of vids showing how the feedlips are tabs for the floorplate are formed as well as how the mag body is stamped with the relevant info. Finally, there’s a pic of this small, pneumatic tool that we use to form the final bend in the floorplates—to get them to fit perfectly on the mag body tabs.

<-- Probably the first pre-order, maybe the second. Anxiously awaiting mags so I can do a subgun match. :)
