Shooting during the daytime is too easy.

Night vision is where it’s all at!

Max 11/15 under nods. I switched it to a 14.5” barrel with carbine gas system. I also put a longer rail on it, a carry handle, bipod, and of course all the IR goodies. It’s basically set up as a poor man’s clunky SAW.

I aligned the laser on the red dot that wasn’t zero’d so there’s a lot of missing happening in the movies. And the steel targets are small and I’m a bad shot.

EDIT: do movies not embed on this forum?

Looks fun. I need some NV.

When I post YT videos on here and use the video link feature in the reply I have noticed it has to be the actual http address of the YouTube video not the “copy link” version. And for it to open up in the thread you will need to remove the S in the https:

Bad ass video and setup! If you get a couple of cheap IR strobes or regular strobes and place them at the base of your targets you can have simulation of returning fire! Below is a link to the type of strobes I have used. Not sure of the brand but they looked the same as the one in the link. I used these at 100 and 150 meter distance. It might not be as cool close up.

I used to travel the country for night matches. Makes normal 3-gun seem boring. :)

I believe that. The only time I even shoot during the day anymore is if I’m going to zero a red dot or troubleshoot a problem or shoot with my kids or something. Outside of that, all my recreational shooting is at night.

Man, I need some land. Just twenty or thirty acres, and I'll be the happiest guy who just ran outta ammo...

In the video, it looks like you have a suppressed pistol on your RH side. What setup do you have (assuming I'm correct)?

Does this forum not host pics? I can’t figure out how to do that without uploading to imgur or something first.

Getting a suppressed handgun with a red dot holstered is always a challenge. Furthermore, sometimes I want to carry different guns on my belt depending on what I’m doing.

That one is a Sig P229 Scorpion with RMR and X400VH-B-IRC in a Masterfire holster. The nice thing about this is any Surefire H series equipped handgun can be holstered here. Note that for both the suppressed Sig and my suppressed 22/45, the holster had to be modified to work so it’s not entirely universal.

It’s not the cheapest solution, but it’s the best I’ve found so far. A pistol you can’t holster is next to worthless IMO.

Thanks. What suppressor are you using on the Sig?
