It had been sitting around for almost a year, and I finally installed it and went to the range. It worked great, even though it cost twice as much as I paid for my M11/9 20 years ago. I was worried that it would be loud as hell with a 10" barrel. Not so much. The guy in the next booth was way louder with his silly AR-15 pistol with a brace. Also worried that it would heat up real fast, but it didn't do that either. Slapped an EoTech site on it. I wish it had a rail for a foregrip, but not that big of a deal.

I want one, I'm waiting to see if I can score a used one because new they are $3,200.00 which is a little steep for me. I saw a scratched up used one for $2,000. I found another new in box unit for $3,000 + shipping.

I wish they were a little less expensive, I have Max11k on order.

The forend that comes with it will take MLok attachments. You can use an MLok grip or rail adapter.

Or swap out the forend for any other AR15 forend.

Thanks. I'll look into that. I took some folks out to try it who aren't really gun people. One of them kept holing onto the magazine when he shot it.

I rather enjoy my Max15. Runs great. I always burn the shit out of myself either on a suppressor or the barrel if I try to swap uppers.

I need to take mine out to shoot. Sorta been waiting on my Flow556k to clear before messing with it because of how my local range’s rules are setup (only seated slow fire for unsuppressed rifles). I have a Turbo I could put on it, but as gassy as that thing is on an AR in semi-auto, I fear I’d suffocate on full auto.

Silicone oven mit helps.
I use kevlar lined thin leather gloves. More traction than oven mitt.

I have a scar on my arm from a nasty burn when testing my UK-59. Somehow managed to get my arm on the gas block and turned that area into bacon.

I work with hot, sharp and otherwise hazardous things every day. You'd think I'd learn by now. Nope!

I tried to swap uppers last time I was at the range and what worked so many times at home to lock in that tab in the hole up the m11/9 magazine well, was a disaster at the range. Never doing that again.

If I were to swap uppers at the range, which I don't do, I'd start with 9mm, then swap because the gun gets a lot hotter shooting 223.

Yeah, that happens. I use a pen or other stick in the magwell instead of a magazine. I've never gotten the magazine method to work.

I tried that too and released the spring. Not a good thing to have happen at the range. I figured maybe its because mine is sten converted. I need to figure out the other method.

Now... chance of any grip plugs to be made for the M10/9 mm with the UZI grip conversion (by Sam/Practical Solutions?) Don't know IF it might be worth $$$ for your business etc.? Thank you very much either way.

I would need to have one for reference to design it. Unfortunately, our insurance company won’t cover any lower receivers that might get lost in shipment back to a customer, so it is not an option for us to have a customer send one in to design the grip plug.
