Just thought I'd share my excitement with the group. My M11/9 with the Lage upper arrived at the transfer dealer this week and he was kind enough to bring it out for me to shoot today. What a blast! Shooting my own SMG for the first time is just about as exciting as the first time shooting any SMG. I hadn't had the chance to shoot one of the Lage uppers before, but having done so I can understand why they're so popular and I'm definitely glad I got this one. It functioned flawlessly for 5 mags too.

Now I just have the long wait to actually be able to take it home... not sure how I'm going to be able to stand it. I'm already on the list for the MAX-11/22 as well.

Congrats man! I remember the first time I shot mine. Best feeling in the world. I have to wait until the form 4 came back. I will my FFL I use had a range. Then you could try out all the goodies while waiting. You could also determine if it ran ok and you did. If there had been problems you would have had time to get it fixed. Post some pictures.

That's a very nice dealer! Having the ability to shoot it occasionally will make the wait a little more tolerable. My dealer is very close to my house, so I had access to mine while waiting for approval.

Congrats!!!

Congrats! Be careful, after getting the .22 kit, your 9mm ammo will sit around collecting dust. :)

All great advice about checking it out for problems while while waiting for transfer. I got mine, put the MAX-11 on went to the range and discovered that the gun wouldn't feed reliably, had multiple OOB's a crap loads of problems. Then I had to wait another two months while Sam worked on mine. The problem turned out to be a mis aligned bolt and barrel which caused multiple jamming of the cartridges into my feed ramp which broke a feed ramp rail. One problem led to another one. Plus, when I got the gun back from Sam after he welded the ramp and the receiver side walls had been snugged tight. Evidently Sam has it in some of C clamp while he welds. I tried to put my AMP-11 in and it was too tight. Had to file on it and now it's at AA getting parkerized.

One mis aligned bolt and barrel ramp caused two additional problems but I learned a lot in the process. In retrospect problems only make us stronger...right? Sorry to deviate from the topic.

Yeah, congrats BTucker, and you were lucky. My guy even has land to go shoot on and he's still "too busy".

Congrats. Still remember my first day with my M11/9. I shot it stock though. That made the lage even more of a revelation.

I transfer at a dealer over an hour from my house because they have an indoor range and let me shoot my transfers whenever I want. Big plus but I try not to abuse it. Only go every couple of months to take the edge off ;)

The dealer is an old friend, and let me tell you, an old friend who's a Class III dealer and lets you shoot his neat toys is a great friend to have! This was actually in the woods behind my house.Brass.jpgMAC2.jpgMAC from side.jpg

i'm with ya - the second i fired a Max11, i understood all the fuss. so you just started the process? it helps (me) to see people at the starting line, gives me hope, i went "pending" on 11/14. i'm also on the Max22 waiting list. have you picked out a suppressor, yet?

Congrats! I enjoy my Lage so much that it's hard to imagine not having it. I'm still breaking in my 22 kit, but it keeps getting better.

BTucker - I find it kule that out of all the MAX11 photos I've seen, yerz is the closest to being a twin of mine. They're all just a little different, here an there, but yerz resembles what mine looks like (or will as soon as it's approved) more than any other one I have ever seen. As soon as Mr. Lamberger gives me the nod, I'll get some pix posted and U'll see what I mean. The differences between our SMG's are very small :)
