So I recently acquired a side charger micro uzi parts kit. Got looking at the bolt tonight and some reading in Dave’s book… it’s a side charger cut for the para micro uzi that the idf played around with that accepted glock mags. Any info would be great on this from Dave or anyone else. How rare are these ? Are there any of the og glock lowers kicking around anywhere ? This could make for a cool build IMG_0665.jpeg

I thought that Dave posted or wrote somewhere that the Glock fed Micro's were just prototypes and never went into production?
I would think that bolt would be what they put in the full auto UZI Pro's like below or some variant before it.

EDIT....I'm looking closer at the picture you posted...I see what you are saying how the bolt you have has been modifying to work with the more narrow feed lips of a Glock mag.
I too got several interesting bolts back in the day at Knob Creek that are clearly came from some kind of prototype / transitional models. Very cool.

From what I read in Dave’s book these were handmade by the idf and never in production. I’d post more pics but resolution too high. Still having issues with that

I was working on trying to bring in some prototypes and special forces guns (as parts kits) about 6 years ago. One of them had a Glock lower, and it was pretty cool. The deal ended up falling through, as they wanted WAY too much money for the parts. I wanted to reverse engineer the Glock lower, it would have been a cool project to put into production. I was looking for the pictures I had from them, but can’t find them at the moment.

There’s pics in Dave’s uzi book of the lowers, I think I’m going to try to clone one

I made one a loooong time ago for the full size and mini.
I'll dig up a picture.

It was test fired with a full size and unmodified bolt. Ran well.
How did you run glock mags with an unmodified bolt? They are single feed the bolt face won’t fit through the feed lips on the mag?

Yes, it definitely looks like it was modified for a single-feed position magazine like a Glock mag. There's a little info in the library here about the Para Micro UZI. It wasn't a prototype so much as a custom made build for IDF special forces. IMI made lots of custom stuff for their military. If you got a parts kit, did it come with the grip frame or top cover showing other modifications?

Railed idf top cover, not a pro cover, original receiver sections, stock, full kit. Unfortunately a regular micro lower, not a Glock lower

Seems like one of two possibilities. When the kits were demilled, they might have grabbed parts from different kits and threw them together. Another option is that when the gun was in use, they abandoned the Glock lower and put a standard lower on it, going back to regular mags. The modified bolt probably works fine with UZI mags. Either way, it's too bad the Glock lower didn't come with it.
