I've always wanted to do the same but always dread thinking about sending it out. Did you have any issues sending it out to get refinished? About how much did it run you? Turnaround time?

Does the NP-3 finish really seem smoother?

I live less than 10 miles from Robar, I've had 8 guns done by them over the years with NO problems. They quote a 6 week turnaround, my friend's MAX-11 was done in under 5. I paid $334.50 which included the 40 rnd mag and the bayo. I had them NP-3 an HK93 that I used for 7 years as one of my varmint (prairie dog) rifles... I still kick myself for letting that one go. I also had an AR15 pistol and an AK47 pistol NP-3d. Nice folks.
