My tiny local gunshop was limiting folks inside to max 10. Probably sold 50 guns in the last few days. They still had a few <$700 Glocks, Sigs, etc. at the normal price. Plenty of >$1000 M1911's.

They normally have 20 shotguns, most either TAC14 type or Keltec KSG, some 'tactical'. Today ALL gone. Not a 12 gauge to be had.

I was in WallyWorld 3 days ago. Some cases of 12 gauge 'target load', lots of .22LR. No shotguns left but several AR's.

In the Houston area Academy is the big retailer of guns and ammo. I was there Thursday and there were 60 or so folks waiting in line to be helped at the gun counter. About the only ammo in 9mm / .308 / .45 left was their crappy Russian-mad Monarch and the high-end self defense. Zero shotguns left but plenty of AR's.

No toilet paper in the local giant grocery store. Also all types of dish soap is gone. Same at WalMart.

My dealer told me they also have lines. They have every employee working. She doesn’t even have time to read her emails

Midwest industries told me they can’t make enough guns to keep up

My Walmart stopped selling guns or ammo week before last. They have packing paper taped over the display cases.

I haven't been out to stores except groceries last Monday, but I see guns and ammo selling out online and groceries around here scarce. Out of milk, eggs, chicken!? Sgammo is no longer taking orders. Glad I planned ahead this time, I experienced being without and trying to scrap it together during the last time in 2012

went to my dealer this morn to do some shooting. got their 10 min before they opened at 10am...there was a LINE!! 10 people long. inside- all decent handguns sold out...hundreds normally in stock, only goofy guns left that no one would want. No AR's, no Shotguns...a few AK's and hunting rifles...I suggested they sell their rental guns vs turning customers away..this is a news story that will be covered months from now.. Nics shut down Friday/crashed I heard

Battering ram, where is your area of activity?

Wholesalers are out of ammo, glocks, ARs, AR mags, etc. The good old days are behind us. :-(

Wisconsin

they sorted everyone out in line...announced no ammo, no AR's and 1/3rd left the line. This dealer is very pricy too. I have seen used guns for higher than I can buy the same gun brand new for. They are typically $50-100 higher than anywhere else, but have very good service and knowledgeable sales persons. Normally 2 guys behind the counter, today 5!

North-central Indiana AO, county of about 66,000 people. Just got back from Meijer, surprisingly they had steaks and pork chops back in stock, limit 2 items per person. Last week the entire section was cleaned out except for the expensive cuts and pork ribs, which is surprising since they were on sale for a good price. Lots and lots of ribs. Canned meat was cleaned out this week, last week it was mainly stocked. Most other shelves had bare spots but you had some choices for most items. Saw some TP on the aisle, limit 1 per customer. Took a close look, it is the "campa chem" stuff marketed as to not clog up your porta pottie or camper holding tank. $7 for 4 rolls.

Haven't been to any gunshops, I'm already stocked up for the most part. Co-worker visited one on Friday, they just had a pallet of ammo delivered and were selling out fast. .223 was going for $425 per thousand round case. Local farm store was about out of all ammo except the expensive hunting stuff and some .22LR stuff. Gun cases were pretty bare too, but they were just sold to another chain recently and they have had supplier issues for months now, so dunno how much is panic buying and how much is normal for them. 3 guys at work were wanting me to find them a deal on bulk .223 so they could go in together on it, best online deal I could find in stock was about $20 less than the LGS off the pallet, so they opted for the extra $$ over waiting for delivery.

Funny, back when AK Romy G unfired AK kits were $100 delivered, i told them they ought a buy a few. "Nah, why would I want an AK?". Years later they asked me where all the $100 AKs were and ended up buying $600 IO crap... Same with ammo, they finally learned their lesson and I've been helping them build dirt cheap AR rifles and pistols for a couple years now. Of course they only have a couple mags loaded and maybe 200 rds in boxes.

Haven't been out at any shops lately, but from what I hear from friends and facebook, almost all businesses are out of ammo completely, and trying to restock as quick as possible. State considers them "essential" so they're still able to keep their shops open, though some of them shut their doors anyway until this whole thing is over.

Ranges are closed everywhere from what I'm seeing too

No gun shops open here in Pa due to the shut down LOL

On day 9 now.

I prefer it that way anyways. I don't feel like having to shoot back at my neighbor because they had a careless discharge with a 1st time purchase.

Besides every time they announce something is closing there is a run on it.

Wolfe closed the liquor stores 8 days ago and there were lines out the door with a 2 hr wait.

All those people infecting each other. Same with any other closure mass lines = mass infection. Not just covid-19 but the common sickness we all deal with and worse FEAR.

The good ole' days were gone a long time back. The cheap prices we were seeing were the left overs from the 2016 election ramp up.
And only that was certain ammo and mags.

Prices were still up on things that were not flooded to market.

Those days of the flooded mags and ammo will be back we just don't know when.

WI announced a shut down with essential only businesses being open...my dealer announced they are essential and will be open and has ammo back in stock. while other businesses will go out of business they will have a record year.

I would think the 2nd amendment is essential and they can stay open...funny in PA you don't have 2nd amendment?

So has anyone been able to stock up on AR14 mags? I've looked all over and can't find nary a one.

My county in Houston just announced a 'stay at home directive'. Sounds important but you can go to the stores for food, drugs, etc. Restaurants already doing only drive-through or delivery.

Yes we have the 2nd here.

We also have common sense and the only ones trying to buy guns and ammo are the city people that bugged out to our AO.

If you look at the counties in Pa that are on LOCK DOWN they are only the counties where people refused to lock up on their own and are full of lake houses, summer homes, and hunting cabins.

IE: NY & NJ residents.

Even the news said Monroe county is 4 out of 10 out of state plates right now, Home Depot & Lowes reported 78% of their customers are NY NJ trying to fix up their out of town places.

So Gov. Wolfe locked em down since they can't seem to listen.

If you can't take care of yourself then the Gov will. It's that simple. And since most from the cities that come up here have no common sense and think they can do what they want well now they are facing pretty steep fines for being out.

That's good for the Pa revenue.

Not sure what a AR14 mag is Scott.

AR14

It's what happens when AR15s and M14s get together and have babies. Duh!
