WCC, I owned a night vision top cover with the screw down tab on the front and 2 Allen (set screws) in the rear of the top cover. It also had two post on the top cover. Are these just 2 different top covers or is your specifically for the R5 and the one I had for the R4?

Hi Lou, did yours look like the one in the pic below, which seems to be for mounting the night scope slightly more forward? These are the only two variations I have seen. Whether they were specifically made for the R5, I do not know.

Yup that's the one I had. Wish I still had it, but I was able to assemble a rifle because of it. Thanks for posting pictures Cheers

Ou Bobbejaan, Welcome to the forum! It's an excellent one!

WCC, what's that semi-circular tab, below the recoil rod assembly button, for?
Exactly, what type NV scope is that?

Icastillo, you're everywhere these days. Good to "see" you!

South African stock knuckles

I'm still a bit confused on the differences between SA and izzy stock knuckles(receiver side knuckle I mean). How can one spot a South African one? I've read through this thread, and I still can't tell. Can someone post some side by side pics and point out the specifics?? Seems like it must be subtle. So what's the dead givaway(s)?? Thanks guys

Machinegun Messiah - In post #315 of this same thread, Icastillo shows some excellent photos of the differences between the IMI stocks, and the strengthened South African stocks.

I've gotta say though, I think the IMI receiver side knuckle is attached to the SA stock, and the SA receiver side stock knuckle is on the IMI stock in those photos.

My license for my Vektor CR-21 has been approved.

I will post some pics when she gets home.

Should i run with this thread or start a new one?

Howsit Ady, long time man! CR-21 wow I am jealous. Did you get a white or black furniture kit? Definitely start a new thread so people add on. I have seen other posts on CR-21 on the R-Series thread and it gets lost in between the R-Stuff. Although CR-22 is made out of R-Series parts the CR-21 is a rifle all its own and deserves a thread dedicated to it. Take care Lou

Hi Lou. I will start a new thread.

I got the standard black furniture CR-21. I think the white ones were only made white for the District 9 movie. A few of them have come onto the market and they are much cheaper than a standard LM. The serial number is also quiet low, Number 28 and has seen some work. It was previously owned by a game reserve and was used in anti-poaching operations. I don't know if it saw any action, but i guess it mostly just went on patrols.
