Works for me.
We'll call the cut-off date at March 5. I hate being in charge of this kind of thing, because there are inevitably things that go wrong and make it a headache, but I'll take the lead, because I want it badly enough for myself.
I tend to agree that 5/8x24 seems like a better choice, but I wanted to make sure we were all on the same page.
As it sits now the barrel will:
Be profiled and finned the same as the sample that I'm sending the machinist. It's a 14(?) fin barrel that I'm sending as a sample (My gun is 28, but I don't have a spare 28 to send to be copied)
Be threaded the same at the breach end, and have a 5/8x24 thread on the muzzle end.
Have a new compensator threaded 5/8x24 that will mimic the original, but be stronger.
Be in the white (The machinist doesn't have blueing and parking tanks) This is fine by me, since I want mine blued, and I suspect others would prefer parked. (I know this is an added cost, and I apologize, but I still think the machine work etc makes this a good deal)
The price should be $300 + shipping (probably $20 or so)
Anyone who's interested, please PM me, and I'll maintain a list. I'll ask for half of the money when I place the order on the 5th, and I'll cover the balance until the barrels are in my hands, then ask for the balance, and ship them when the balance arrives.
