What spare parts for a M10/45 are most prone to breaking and wearing out?
I'd like to get some to put back.
I currently just have spare buffers, recoil spring and guide rod roll pin.

Replace any part that you can with the equivalent from Lage and you will have taken care of 98% of breakage concerns as well as greatly improved your gun.

At a bare minimum I would have spares of the trip, the sear and the disconnector, as well as duplicate springs

I have been shooting macs since the 80's and have had to replace those items after bazillions of rounds fired

Buy every single part you can.

With the current climate start with mags. There is talk per Bidet’s (on his candidate election website) plan of cutting off gun parts via internet sales... buy all you can after you feast on mags.

I have yet to wear anything out on an original Ingram M10 except for the buffer. I did crack the plastic grip by tightening the grip screw too tight. Still keeping some spare parts just in case is a best practice. Especially the little parts that can get lost during cleaning, ect. There are many suppliers of M10 spare parts. The quality of these parts vary quite a bit. Seek out only high quality parts.

After thinking this thread through, I get the “buy all mags” advice, and wholly agree. But if you can’t buy parts online, won’t they become a ship to FFL only type transaction? Which doesn’t limit access to parts, but just makes the transaction a little more difficult but still doable? Correct me if I’m wrong.

One problem with having gun parts, in this case machine gun parts, shipped to a government approved outlet is that it will require electronic paperwork to insure compliance.
That electronic tracking is a defacto national gun registration as they will have your identifying information, what type of gun you are buying the parts for, and have confirmation that you had that gun as of a certain date (and didnt lose them in that boating accident).
Previously your Form 4 was tax priviledged information.
When your M11/9 parts order gets into the interstate commerce database you will not have that protection any longer.
I would advise buying any spare parts you may need as soon as possible. Even if nothing comes about concerning mail order parts at least you will have them if you ever need them.

For those of us that are new to this and/or waiting for our Forms 4 to clear, would you all mind giving a short list of essential spare parts and reputable vendors/manufacturers to purchase from?

For example, I have come across FTF Industries who offers some parts kits (https://www.ftfindustries.com/product/ET-SPM10FCG-F.html) as well as individual parts for sale ( https://www.ftfindustries.com/category/M109.html). I don't know anything about them, or what other sites I should be looking to as well. I also don't want to spend extra coin on a kit full of parts that I'd never really need.

ETA: Previously overlooked plethora of parts on Practical Solutions site also: https://macmachineguns.com/?product_cat=mac109-or-45-machine-gun-parts

Lage seems to sell mostly "accessory parts" rather than "small parts."

On the same subject, are the RPB mags a good choice for M-10/9? (https://www.ftfindustries.com/product/RP-M109-30.html)

Yes, cost is a factor. Thanks!

Just placed a small order with Practical Parts today . Shipped out within 3hrs, which is impressive given the climate.
Kind of bummed that Lage was out of half of the parts I wanted.

The RPB mags for the M10/9 from FTF Industries are awesome. I’ve had zero issues with them in my M10/9.

Common sense says to get spares because the market for spare parts for 34+ year old weapons and the incentive to make enough to make the venture profitable shrinks every year.
Just sayin'

Yep, too many morons and idiots see repo parts for sale and figure: "screw it, they will always be there for when I need them". Sooner or later they will stop making them when demand drops or the Dude passes away.

I picked up 2 barrels for my FNC from Green Mountain Barrel from the second batch. They grudgingly made the second batch when enough claimed that they would buy them. The first batch took too long to sell out cuz guys figured they would always be for sale.

How much was the barrels for the FNC?

They were around $160-170 each.

I've been thinking about getting either Ruger AC556 FN FNC or M16 for 5.56. How's the FNC holding up? Any parts broken? Availability of spares?
