Can anyone who has used and installed the steel mag inserts on the mac zytel mags please share their experiences with the inserts. I am waiting for my paper work to come back (the longest three months ever) and am filling the time looking for the best accessories for my new SWD Mac? Any other C3 MAC knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks.

I got 3 zytels with newly glued feed lips from Lage waiting to be tried out. I previously had used some Cobray lips but either I didn't install them correctly or they just come loose very easy.

The bolt continuously riding over the lips eventually made them come loose and tore them off. They are just metal lips that you epoxy onto the insides of the mags. If someone would manufacture new steel M11 and M10/9 mags they could earn a fortune.

I have used them and they work well just make sure you follow the directions and have them tight to the mag. I had one that moved a little and it got ripped off.

I would consider getting all steel mags CDNN does have them for $13 last time i bought some. You might have to do some minor fitting (bending the feed lips a little) but i haven't had a problem with them.

At the moment and gunsmith and myself are working on converting my M11 to accept modified Suomi 36 rd mags looks like it is going to work and those are cheap.

But it's a secret so i can't tell anybody :slap

Thanks for the info please keep me updated when you get to try the Lage mag lips out. Oh there are steel m11 mags for sale at CDNN investments (www.cdnninvestments.com). I think they are 12.00 each. I picked up 5 in a group buy with a buddy of mine (free shipping) they were wrapped in plastic and covered with cosmoline. They cleaned up real nice, can't wait to try them. I did some further research on their origin, it turns out that they were made for use in a South African SMG called the BXP (http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg50-e.htm) that was made for the police and has been in use since the mid 80's. They look solid, I wonder if they work as good as they look.

I manufacture and sell them...

You can buy them from me. You can see details of the Feedlip Kits at my website www.max-11.com along with a PDF version of the installation instructions. Feedlip kits are $5.00 per set with free shipping. E-mail me if you would like to buy some.

I puchased 5 sets of the Lage mag lip inserts and am quite pleased with the quality of the product and level of clarity and detail of the included instructions. Not to mention the price is not bad. I am planning on installing them this week and will post pics and feedback.

Went to the range today and ran 600 rounds through my LAGE steel lip equipped mags. Wow no jams malfunctions or mishaps. Today was a great day and the LAGE steel lips are a great product. I ran each mag back to back all five of them while a buddy reloaded and then took a turn and then did it again. So this first test was brutal, the looked unaffected by the abuse. Also the install was easy, I am pretty sure I can train a chimp to install them. Needless to say I am a happy camper.
