I'd take a quick look a several things prior to calling Andrewski so you'll be a better informed owner and able to help him determine what the problem could be.
You're not by chance using STEn magazines are you? Are your Sterling magazines new or surplus. You've marked each one so you can easily identify any problematic ones, right? I've got a pile of IMA and DSA surplus Sterling magazines and many needed some work on the feed lips for proper bullet presentation and feeding.
What ammo are you using? Hollow point or trunicated cone may be problematic although I can't say that I've ever used either in my Andrewski MK4 turned Andrewski / KGB MK5. Is this problem occurring with all your magazines using the same ammo? If you've ruled out the these possibilities move on.
It seems doubtful weak springs, (you should have two unless you own a MK5), are the culprit if the gun strips and fires the first round each and every time in full auto mode and you only experience the problem in semi auto. Possible sear drag on the bolt in semi auto? Remove the bolt and place the selector in semi auto. Pull the trigger and observe the sear's action. Same with full auto mode.
Hope this helps and let us know what you find out.
