This one seems to be a two piece affair. It’s split horizontally. If I depress the plunger, and turn the sight between the cutouts, I can spin the top part with my fingers. It doesn’t unscrew.
Also, it has a hole in the top, and a hole just below it on the horizontal plane.
I’ve looked in Dave’s book. I haven’t seen another like it. The two tiny holes are connected inside the sight “tower.”
I might add that this isn’t a cut down receiver.
It’s an IMI NMH. Mini receiver.
The hole in the top of the post is 6mm deep, and the hole in the side is 2.5mm to center from the top.

So many views, and no answer yet. I’m not surprised, as I think this is a strange one.
I know I’ve never seen one like this before, not in photos, nor front sights for sale.
I wish I could send a photo.

Sounds like a setup for a tritium vial.

Yup, I've seen UZI sights like that. I don't know when they were used.

Thank you. It very well might be something that was set up for a tritium vial. Sorry, I should have asked a question as to what it was.
This sight came with the Mini directly from Vector, and I’ve had it ever since it was shipped to me, so I know someone else didn’t change it.
Makes sense to swivel the top part to keep that little hole facing rearward if there was a vial there.
It’s much more pointed than the above photo.

Vector used whatever Mini UZi parts they could scrounge up from their suppliers in Israel (and elsewhere.) Whatever random stuff they got when on their guns.
