If so what were the results?
I am talking in a manner to shortening the stroke of an Uzi, with a buffer. On my Uzi I found, it of course speeds up the rate of fire, but that rate increase also smooths out the feel of the Uzi.

I was wondering if someone here has tried something similar on a 76...

I’ve stacked 2 buffers in mine but it my gun ain’t running 100% yet. I’ll report back, when I get some parts in mine and I’ll (hopefully) be able to say add more input then.

People have put a D-cell battery in a Swedish K to speed it up. I don’t know if the tube on an M76 is the same ID as a K though.

Never thought about speeding up my SW76, seem it has a nice rate of fire.
I have seen others with different MGs, lighten the bolts, use stronger recoil springs and like stated, stack buffers.
Not sure I would want to use a D cell battery. Maybe make a spacer out of aluminum. Good luck.

why speed it up? Are you just wanting a bullet hose? Slowing it down like a Swed K would be better (in my opinion). MK760 at 720 RPM vs Swed K at 550-600RPM. Most think hands down the slower rate is more controllable.
