Suomi stick versa module question

I’m considering adding the ambi release suomi stick magwell to my versa. For those that have one:
Does the magwell eliminate the tedious alignment/insertion associated with standard suomi drum pattern magwells?
Does it seem picky about suomi sticks?

I have one and it's not an issue. Just stick them in the hole and go, no problem. I also have the Glock adaptor and those are much easier to insert and remove the magazines. But I like the Soumi sticks for the ease of loading and few extra rounds so I tend to run those. I don't have the drum adaptor so I can't give a comparison to that.

My “issue” with suomi stick mags in my brp and lage versa suomi drum module gun is that you have to line up the front and rear spines on the mags with corresponding grooves in the front and rear of the magwell. For me it’s not necessarily easy and requires tilting the gun to the side and really looking at the mag/magwell alignment. If the suomi stick module requires the same process i am not interested. I am hoping it’s more like the glock module and you can just cram it into the tunnel.

The Suomi Stick mag module has a “funnel” at the bottom of the magwell. You do not have to carefully align the mag’ to insert it.

You can't cram it in the tunnel until both surfaces have reached sufficient lubricity. Many people especially as we age and can't make fast visual inspections choose to take extra measures to confirm lubricity to make magazine insertion easier.

Once the two are mated things tend to progress more quickly than when everything is new.

You can actually do some work with the lips too that will help here but I guess that actually has more to do with reciprocation than insertion.

If anyone is interested the Z-mag module is a “no issue” inserting mags. Bit more finesse then the Glock module…and the 50 rnd’er are nice. They don’t look unwieldy. And note to the Magpul Glock drum users…Do not over load them even by a few. The follower/winding mechanism will “screw up”…and will deconstruct itself.
