Howdy yall, it's just one thing after another, it's a Texas Mac alright. So after getting a new firing pin created from the what I believe was an "out of battery detonation" I put the bolt back in the gun and went to the range. It fired for the first time in roughly 5 years! one round... I go to pull the trigger for the second and no joy, not even a click. So I manually racked it and a new bullet was already fed into chamber causing a double feed, so I ejected out the double. Once clearing the extra bullet it fired again once with the same result. This didn't happened before the detonation event. Attached are photos of the lower receiver (yes, yes she dirty) I don't exactly know how everything is supposed to look but the sear and sear spring look alright from an untrained eye. I really can't figure out why it's not resetting. Advice would be much appreciated. Thanks! 1000011917.jpg1000011918.jpg

If I remember correctly, this is how the Texas gun is set up, hammer spring on one side of the hammer only. It isn’t like the Cobray closed bolt guns that have a hammer spring that wraps around both sides of the hammer.

ETA: found a pic of a parts kit and OPs gun is indeed correct as I suspected. The Texas semi auto is much different in construction than the usual closed bolt Cobray style firearms. It has a hammer spring that sits on one side of the hammer only

If it's correct any idea why it's not resetting after a single shot?
