How is the trigger pull affected? Increased pull weight or slop due to the mechanical linkage between the lower receiver and the M16 upper? Or no change?

Very good question, I didn’t think about that

No trigger slop.
Using a digital trigger gauge, I measured the trigger pull to be the same as when using the OEM M-10/45 bolt assembly. Other testers felt the pull was heavier, but feel is subjective. It does feel different, but that’s my perception.

So according to the original post: you can use a stock AR15 upper, so vegas smg, does your upper in the video above have a semi or auto bolt carrrier group?

That’s a full auto bolt carrier.
Every complete upper I’ve purchased post AWB has included a full auto carrier. Does anyone manufacture semi auto specific bolt carriers anymore?

If you need one, PSA has a great sale going on right now. $59.99 delivered for a complete BCA!

Picture for those wondering what the difference is between bolt carriers.
Semi auto auto profile bolt carrier shown at the top, full auto on the bottom.

I don’t think the Shrike carrier would fall under mil-specs or “stock” uppers. But for the price of a shrike, who would get the semi auto carrier?

That’s makes no sense, but you’re correct. FightLite’s website shows two different BCAs. One full auto, and one semi auto, but both are priced the same. The bolt carrier is an u regulated part so I’m not sure why they do this.

Thanks for posting that clear picture of the gun! Looks great! I think the angled grip might actually help with ergonomics. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how the stock is angled though. Is it attached to the adapter somehow? It seems in line with the upper so I imagine it has to be. I just don't see how it all lines up so well given the back plate on the Mac is there. Just curious, if you'd rather not disclose or are not allowed that's fine.

Tom, is this a 40-round PMAG?

The stock adapter appears to be angled to level it out.

For lightning link people? Maybe?

Doobis, What you have marked as anti-rotation pins is actually the rear takedown pin for the upper.

I agree thats a take down pin im just curious why there is some sort of line coming out from the take down pin. The pic posted above looks like there's a pin above the selector. Cant wait to see a non grainy side pic to see whats going on.

Ok more questions
  1. Is it aluminum or steel
  2. Is this a TASK style design with a hole through the back plate?
  3. Is this design even feasible for the 11/9? It is longer in the rear, and if there is a requirement for buffer tube continuity that would seem to impact the dimensions.
