My club allows full auto, slings, holsters, and movement in the action ranges. My limited understanding is the club is concerned about liability for "unsafe acts" at the club. It has not been a problem for me as the club searches social media. I have not had any desire to post video publicly here, until now. I had been working nights so I couldn't get to meetings as the meetings were during my work hours.

Gun club doesn't allow pictures or video? Why is that? Seems odd

Photography and videography invites the instagram crowd and other people who are there to show off online and not to actually shoot. This strongly correlates with a wanton disregard for firearm safety, even among those who own their own guns. See: The Top Gun Range incident from October 8th.

I looked through the thread but didn't see an answer, have you tested the Tenko adapter with a .22lr AR upper or conversion kit?

An unmodified CMMG .22LR conversion was tested and ran well. A .556 upper was used.

Any upper, caliber, or mags you can use in a typical AR-15/M-16 can also be used with the Tenko.

Do you have videos running a shrike/ares belt fed upper?

One of the Beta testers owns an original Shrike. We hope to have video of the Shrike running on the Tenko 10-16 soon.

Another question I didn't see being asked is, with the purchase of this new upper does the barreled upper come with the adapter or are we just buying the adapter and having to install our own upper onto the adapter?

Sorry if this has been answered ;)

We have no idea what caliber, barrel length, or style of stock the buyer wants. Sam does plan to have an option for the buyer to put a complete package for caliber, barrel length, and stock options. If you want to shoot a 10.5" 5.56X45 the Lage Max-/15 series is a great option. If you want to shoot .22lr, 9 mm, 5.56X45, 7.62x39, or any other caliber that a M16 can be shot. Push two pins and change caliber and/or barrel length. If that versatility has value to the buyer I don't think that the difference in equipment would make that much of a difference.

I though 9mm uppers required modification of the lower with mag well adapters that were roll pinned in place. Is this lower compatible with these and is it difficult to convert back? Please correct me if I am wrong...

Different mag well conversion blocks drop in from the top or use a retention screw rather than a roll pin.

For a number of years there have been manufacturers producing slip in adapter blocks with tension screws in lieu of roll pins for the AR-15/M16 magwell to use Colt style mags; and several slip in adapters have been available for 9mm Glock mags for a couple years. Also, the long discontinued VM-HyTech adapter block enabled the use of unmodified Uzi mags. And further, for several months there has been company selling 9mm inserts that fit into MagPul full size magazine shells so that no adapter is needed. That's a summary view only. Please perform an internet search for details.

MHO, YMMV, etc.

The Tenko 10-16 adapter has been tested with the original Colt blowback using a drop in from the top 9 mm magwell adapter and Colt style 9 mm mags and a 5" CMMG Guard rotary delayed blowback 9 mm upper using MEAN Armaments Endomag 9 mm inserts in Generation 2 or 3 Pmags. Both systems ran well, but could use some tuning to slow it down for single shots in auto. There is so much information about AR-15/M16 systems for various calibers, it would be difficult to impossible to post all the information. As the Tenko 10-16 gets out "in the wild" I'm sure there will be discussions of the various systems. That is what sets the Tenko adapter apart from other upper systems for the Mac style series of RRs. So far that we have found, and upper for the AR-15/M16 can be used with the Tenko adapter.

OK thanks for the clarification. I was referring to a Colt 9mm SMG a friend had that I shot once. I don't know how long he has had it but it must be an older unit. Glad to hear a 9mm upper works with one. It would be nice to have a 9mm option with an AR style upper.

The original Colt did have a two piece pinned in magwell block. By putting my DIAS in a Colt 9mm carbine lower and using a Colt 9mm 10.5" subgun or a DOE upper, comes as close as possible to a factory Colt subgun. That is why I sold my Colt M16 and kept my DIAS. To me, that is why I so wanted to bring the Tenko adapter to market. I love the versatility. And now that versatility can be more easily had. Is it for every full auto shooter? No, but it is for people that easily wish to change to a cool barrel to keep shooting, or those that want to shoot different calibers in one shooting session.

I still don't understand why folks didn't just pop the pins out and run 5.56
