A good assumption is that there is no work being done by the ATF on any determinations during the shutdown so probably looking at the release of this adapter getting pushed back further into 2019 than it was already expected. With no ending of the shutdown in sight, that could keep getting pushed back indefinitely.

Will/ could the tenco adapter for M11 accommodate 308 mags? That would accommodate a 12ga upper..

We have no plans to do 7.62X51/.308 in the original design. We would eventually like to do a limited run of a "tactical version/gen 2" that would have a mag release and selector actuation from the trigger hand while still holding the grip. As part of that package I would love to do a modular magwell. It is my understanding that MGI has the patent for medium caliber rifle and pistol calibers. If we are able to move forward with that system we would also contact Colt about their 901 system. But that is all down the road. Patents and royalties along with the added complication of modular magwells and single hand mag release/selector activation would add considerable expense to an already expensive product.

As far as a 12 gauge platform, I would think the most cost effective system would be based on a Saiga 12 mechanism since the adapter system is closed bolt. Of course the hardest part would be feeding it. The highest capacity 12 gauge drum I am aware of is 30 round capacity. So like any other 30 round mag dump would be two seconds or less. That would be a lot of energy to dump in two seconds. To be clear A&S Conversions has no plans to develop a 12 gauge upper.

The last piece of the "Shrike puzzle" has been shipped. The carrier for the Shrike requires a specialty buffer that was shipped today. Hopefully there will be a Tenko/Shrike video by the end of the week.

That is awesome news Scott...I can't wait to finally see the first belt fed MAC! Its been a long time coming. You guys have really made the MAC something special.

Next, you need to start selling the water cooled upper that you did years ago. That is one of my favorite videos on YouTube.

The water cooled upper was not a big seller. I don't know as the system would adapt well to the Shrike/MCR. I am having a local Smith adapt my Valkyrie Armament belt fed system to the adapter. Then I can use the Valkyrie for both the DIAS and Tenko.

Thanks Scott it sounds as if the magwell option materializes, it could potentially work. Awesome news on the belt fed status.

Ooooooh, Scot, your the dude that made the watercooled m16 w the 500 rd dump video? I remember that. I wanted one bad, but I’ve no m16. A water cooled belt fed Mac is EXACTLY what I want the Tenco for. It’ll take time and $$ I’m sure, but imma get there.

I did not know the water cooled upper was ever for sale. I wanted one when I heard about it before I even saw the 500 round belt dump video. I thought it was a one off upper that you did for yourself. I thought about building one, but I don't have the equipment or skills to complete a project like that.

Yes, that is me as the A gunner and my wife shooting it. We are planning to do another one like that. With direct impingement the gas system can be sealed to keep the water out. The Shrike/MCR uses a short stroke piston up on the gas block. That would vent the gas into the water jacket. I don't think that would work so well. The Valkyrie Armaments belt fed system modifies standard upper receivers instead of having a custom upper. So I have one stand alone upper, one MGI upper with three barrels, and a water cooled upper that I can use with the belt feed modual.

I had a one off made, then built five more. I had an ad on subguns, sturm, ar15, and here. It cost me almost $1,800 each so I put them up for sale at $2,000. I sold one upper. My brother bought two and then wanted me to convert them to 7.62x39. What a nightmare that was. The rifle length gas system didn't have enough gas. So plug the hole and machine the HBAR back to mid length.

There might very have been some that did. Colt made a small run of 100 9mm subguns just before the ban. As far as I know those 100 factory 9mm subguns would be some of the rarest transferable M16 RR machineguns in the registry. Most of them went to Police Departments and got beaten up. I would think one very good condition would be worth at least $35,000. So pounding on the roll pins holding the two piece magwell adapter doesn't seem like a good idea to me
